Zach was a walk-on at Appalachia State...He transfereed to Wingate and now is not playing football anymore.

You could not combine every team in Buchanan County and win the Black dianmod district more less the state...lol

What about Hurley?

It just made them feel better about themselves and helped their ego out a little to get 2 more scores on the board....The bad thing about it is Hurley had their subs in before castlewood......What comes around goes around in more ways than one....

I know the homecoming game was a disappointment and they did not play with much heart but they also had 4 starters out that night...Jay Tester, Brandon Justus, Scottie Hurley, and I think John Layne....I know it would not have made a difference in the game but that is their 3 most phyical players.....Everybody has not been back on the field at the same time since the ervinton game....They have reall had some bad luck with injuries....I dont think everybody will be back this game either....Throw the records out the door becasue this will still be a good game

The 05 season was alright but Hurley was not able to compete at a level with honaker and haysi. Hurley went 8-2 and was 7-0 going into the haysi game and Haysi had hurley 40-0 and took a knee before halftime.....So waht does that tell ya.......Hurley has not been able to compete since 1992-1996.....The 05 team had one of the best records but they dont even rank in the top 5 Hurley teams......Shane Justice was a special kid for that team......I agree that Hurley has a lot of freshman that could be good in a few years....They have to put in the work which is something that has not been done in the past few years....The Layne kid could be the best linebacker to come out of Hurley.....This kid is special for a freshman.....The 05 playres had more heart and desire than the past few years
