Blacks burg is well dissaplined, and plays good "team ball". They havd good work ethic. They are not near as talented as last year, but seem to have more heart, and are scrappy. They were a lot smaller than Giles, and a little quicker, but not much. Graham should win this one. Giles fumbled 5 or 6 times, and if we cut our mistakes, we were probably the better team. But Definately not that night. Good luck with B-Burg. They are nowhere near the caliper of last year.

Giles in its prime may give them a tough fight. I dont think anyone paints a better picture of true SWVA Football than Giles, and their 100+ year old offense.

Giles tied Princeton 7-7 and beat Liberty 14-0. Giles doesnt have the depth we are used to, but we had the same heart, and physical play. Our offense looked fairy smooth, and the line is big and strong, and moves well. The defense needs some work, but we will be okay, if we stay healthy. Princeton was big up front, and had 2 very quick backs. #2 was impressive. They looked solid this year. Couldnt tell much about Liberty. They tried to pass too much. They had a hard time stopping our run. Just my opinion on the scrimmage.

I think Coach Williams will be a great coach. He is the force behind the weight program, and he is a good motivator. The single wing is special when its run right. You can go anywhere to se your aveverage every day offense, but when you come to Giles, You know what youll see. Nothing will change around here. Our talent and numbers are down, and our schedule is as tough as ever, so The team has to mature and the JV has to step up. Defenately a rebuilding year.
