We are are totally opposite on opinion on that one. Boucher continuously had town halls and visited the district. Not the same for griffith. His party line stances are starving his district. Lack of funding is killing us, especially far southwest. Griffith has a 7% voting score from labor unions and the afl-cio. Those numbers are based on how he votes on policies that affect working families. I meet with him personally, along with state level politicians in the general assembly. He isnt for us. But I respect your opinion.

Griffith has to go. He has been the most absent, do nothing representative we have ever had. Boucher is sorely missed.

This could be a very tough game. I felt like it was tougher than the score the last time. Glenvar has a very big , strong d-line and atheletic linebackers. It is tough to beat a team twice in 1 year. and Glenvar has never beaten Giles in 21 tries.I hate rematches. Especially ones like this. Should be a good one no matter what. Anybody is beatable. I wouldnt say easily beatable. John Battle did a great job last year. But the difference in that game was special teams. Blocked punt got a lot of momentum going and we lost control of our game plan. John Battle was very dissaplined and played emotional. They beat us at our own game. This year Giles has a lot of team speed. The defense has a lot of speed, and they play physical, like always. Offensively they have 4 fast backs. 2 tailbacks alternate. Mann is small and quick, Perdue is bigger and more powerful. Both have good passing ability. Whitlow is the fast fullback. Teats is the hard running wingback. The line is dominant as usual. Richlands and Giles usually share a lot of things in common. Should be a good, game at a packed house.

May be a good rivalry starting up. Gonna be nice coming to a nice stadium like mitchell. I agree with most of your post except for the speed part. Most years we dont have it but this year we have a very fast defense, and 3 very fast backs. Maybe the fastest team weve ever had, and overall maybe the fastest in swva this year. C-burg and B-burg fans would agree. But friday night is really all that matters. It will all be displayed on the field. Hope for a good hard hitting game, and good sportsmanship.

The Battle of the state line will be Saturday April 20 at 6 pm at Giles High. Giles-James Monroe alumni game. Some of Giles greats are back to bring it again. Some that I know of are The backfield of 2000, Carson Ward,Cooney Ratcliffe, Reggie Hoston (95) Ricky and Billy Cook(2005) Nathan Tanner (2006) and a slew of great linemen. The have been practicing for months, and run that wing like they never lost a step. James Monroe has put together a nice team as well. Someone will have to chime in on that. If you are going to the Tech spring game, stop in Pearisburg to see a good game.

Dillion is a lineman. Mitchell is the TB. Ill try and find out his #s. Just reporting from buzz around town. Giles was 10-2 last year, losing to Christiansburg, and eventual state champ Gretna in the 2nd round.

Giles returns a ton of talent. The return most of the line, with Kearsley Dillion leading the way. Dillion just passed the record of strongest spartan in history. 1300 yd rusher Ethan Mitchell will move from FB to TB. He is 6'3-200lb, and I think ran a 4.5 or 6. Very athletic and explosive. A whole stable of backs will be around him, Ian Mann, Boggess, Whitlow, Mathias. The defense will be bery agressive and fast. This team will be loaded, and will go far if they stay as a team and work hard.

Brad Kessinger from Giles should be in there as well.

This was an inside complaint, calling to the outside force. Now the outside force will probably file a lawsuite. I can see everyones points here. I dont get excited over stuff like this one way or the other. Personally, Im a Christian, but thats my business. I appreciate the peoples effort, and emotion, but I really dont think this is worth it. My kids morals and upbringing starts at home. I dont need a plaque on the wall at school.

Its basically a bill full of tax cuts, something that every republican should have voted for. This is the perfect example of a good republican standing for the people, and a good example of how selfish the rest of them are, to vote against their own policies just to hurt the party in power.

I completely dissagree. Boucher has always done well for SWVA, and brought the bacon home. He is also one of the ones, as well as one of the ones from WV that placed a lot of protections in the Cap and Trade Bill. He has ran unopposed for years because of his leadership, and service to SWVA. If he loses his seat it will be because the people are duped into believing the false and misguiding picture that the GOP will paint of Boucher.
