You guys need to think about all this bragging you all are doing. It is a long season, to many factors can happen in a season (injuries,sickness,etc) just wait before you put the cart before the horse. When it gets postseason and you all manage to stay healthy then you talk the talk about what you are going to do. Until then, act like you have been here before.

It's a a shame Twin Valley (Garden) isn't a strong football school anymore I miss those days.

The VHSL plainly states as I am sure your high school league you can call a penalty but no YARDAGE ADVANCEMENT. If you would like I can come read it to you or maybe buy a pop-up book to help you out. Over the last 20 years Hurley has played a lot of WV teams (Iaeger,Big Creek,Matewan,Williamson,Montcalm,Tug Valley) and anybody else that within a hour to hour 1/2 drive from Hurley including a lot of KY teams (Phelps,Betsy Lane,East Ridge, and Jenkins) and this may have been the worst head ref I've ever seen. Last week is over this week is here good luck Rebels against Phelps. Oh, by the way we played last year at Phelps and lost they only called 2 penalties against Hurley so you can get good refs out of state. Good luck Rebels !

I don't think they were saying Hurley would have won the game but it would have been a lot closer. You can't call a 15 yard penalty on a fan, look in the rule book see if you can find a rule. A running back cannot grab a opposing facemask and call it a stiffarm, but they did and it wasn't called. Like I said nobody said Hurley was should have won but it is a bad scene over there. Do you think you would have liked your son or daughter escorted off the field by the police just so they could get their clothes and leave. We didn't like it I don't think you would either.

Big Creek who is 13th. in the WV ap poll and 8th in the points in single A playoff points is a really good team. They made points off of our turnovers. The score should have been around 24-12 Big Creek's favor. The refs were awful they called a majority of the flags in the first quarter and half of the 2nd. quarter. Then on top of all that at the end of the game some of the parents from Big Creek were threating our coaches and our players and anybody else they could find. The Hurley football team had to be escorted off the field to the locker room by the police so they could just dress and leave if that was not bad enough some vandals went to locker room and threw some of the boys clothes in the toilet with pee and other stuff. The parents and the school officials sure know how set an example for their youth. The War police dept. did a find job though really nice and unbias maybe the parents should take a few lessons from them.

hey helper if you would attended the game you would have seen the crappy officials. The grand call of the night was in the first quarter when they called a late hit on the sideline after a turnover then to add insult to injury they added another 15 yards against Hurley over a fan. You know that is not legal. They then got the parent ejected from the game when he said no profanity or threat toward the ref. The turnover was suppose to start on the 45 instead in went to the 15. The score should have been a lot closer. If you read the bdt you can see the stats and our sustained drives that inside their 15 yard line that came short. They are a good team who took advantage of our turnovers and got points. They had no long drives. If I was you I go shut my mouth and do what you do best be a nerd who never played football and made sacrifices like the rest of the young men who practice all week and give it everything they got on Friday.
