UVAObserver hit the nail on the head. We need to be active. No more of the "that'd never happen here" mentality because I'm sure that's exactly what those people in Connecticut have said before.

 

As someone who works in a school, we need a better plan. A school resource officer sitting in his office with his feet propped up all day isnt the solution. I think all schools should have metal detectors at every entrance and atleast 2 armed officers on campus during school hours. It may stretch some county/city budgets but it's better than the alternative.

I agree with this post 100%. We do need armed officers in our schools and metal detectors. This may save some lives.

The Fox News Weatherman called for rain the other day, are we supposed to dimiss the FACT THAT IT RAINED because of the source? Furthermore, I NEVER watch Fox News, EVER!

Good teams don't allow bad officiating to beat them. It is the coaching staff's responsibility to guide these young men through such adversity and instill a winning attitude. I realize the difficulty of coaching young people as I have coached them, but if your team is skilled enough, bad officiating shouldn't affect them. I agree one bad call can lose or win the game for a team, but good teams must play though this. Maybe Marion had something to do with the loss. Better luck next year, Dawgs.

tazewell should be better next year. marion was the better team this year. i agree about the officiating you must find a way to win.

The problem with the program is people are too impatient...let this guy do his thing and things will improve with time, you have to be patient and not let the parents go on a witch hunt and try to run things over there...

Na he don't hate us. He is looking and hoping for a weak class to come thru so his team might have more of a chance of beating them. Talk last year was Richlands doesn't have much talent coming up, going to have some down years.... Seems that has changed so they have to blame something. Can't be the program, the coaching, community involvement, the work ethic and desire these fellows have to buy into.

Fussing about somebody learning how to work for something they want? don't sound like a g-man.
