After reading the post let me say one thing that is not about the game one said that they do the set location to stop home field advantage that does not always work or help the one yr Richlands played at liberty the team they played dressed at their own school and came to the stadium they where something like ten mile from the field and the blues out numbered their fans three to one. But about the gw game the team I think that is the closest to them in size that honaker played this yr is the blues and we all know how that turned out. Gw sure dose not have a 144 lb starting guard like what they saw Saturday. Also Essex did not put any pressure on the qb that will not be the case this week and like somebody said they have 3 fast rb not just one. Your beloved coach will beat you gw can be stopped but all true tiger fans know a team can run a 21 dive all day and he will not pull a lb up. You d plays off the ball to much ask clintwood if you let their backs out in space they are gone but the rob from gw will not spin around you they will run you over. Gw by 14 and that's because I'm pulling a little more for the tigers they to are closer to me than gw.
I too saw them today at Ernie the are really small had three white boys200 was the biggest I saw have not seen their roster but they had no and I mean no size give them a good hard swva hit in the mouth ans they will not want any more come the second half. I think we had a good chance at state before baker got hurt with aj out it hurts but Ben had the best passing game of the yr against tazewell also where did cave beat them the blues would have beat them at home this yr for sure I set on the Pulaski side and when the home team fans complain about the refs when its in their favor so with time for Ben and colton to get healthy we should win by 10
Its weird not playing them till game two but come down. Talked to some that went to the game said the falcons losing their rob hurt them it probably would not have changed the out come but would have been a closer game so should be a good one Friday what do you guys think. I agree they played battle and they have Graham union and Abingdon left they have a makeup against tazewell they beat bluefield this year but not to many jv teams around just like the tazewell game got postponed because the jv line is having to play up do to some injuries that game is supposed to be made up when some of the varsity kids get healthy.
I was told everyone on the schedule this yr had agreed all ready to play except union grundy is taking Pulaski spot and they are trying bluefield for Patrick co but the problem there is wv schools start games a week earlier and that makes it a little hard to work out va high is the alternative right now like it or not nobody thinks union will drop but east side or central is a possible fit for that game also Grundy will be the last game as for this week blues by 3 td
I thought we looked good Friday if you noticed Graham was sending 9 alnight. Thought we should have run better Johnson was who I thought would have a big night never seen him carry the ball but I did go smoke a few times. If the bus ride dose not kill them we will be fine I think we come out slow on those games and we can not do that get behind and it may be a long night. The jv and eight grade are winning big so the future does look good. I think union has a faster backfield than Pulaski I think if we play smart it will be fine
I don't think one is saying the blues will state every yr at d2 level just think we would have a few more than we do. Gretna has been brought up a lot they where d3 a few yrs back the last run tazewell had before losing to the blues last min was at gretna so they would only be in the recent pic as far as d2 is concerned and someone else hit on this The first yr gate city dropped down they had more kids than tazewell I know that was my first yr out of school they beat tazewell in their last playoff yr in d3
I don't think you can say you broke it to where you can not argue the point what I said is that as of even last yr there are 7 d2 school with more kids than richlands some have been d2 for a while and then when the blues beat the d2 champ or runner up badly or worse than what the champ did I think they would have more than two titles. It will help in a lot of ways once everyone around here is classified in the same class Graham gate city union rhs lee high it will be nice to see what happens it makes this area a little stronger I think
