Tom Crigger could not turn a john deere around in a 200 yard field. The recent moderate success twin valley has had imo is due to the hard work of parents who got the little league program started back, then spent the time coaching these boys.Last two seasons were the first years were all the kids had been through the Richlands little league program. Before this no football was played till kids reached high school. Also these kids are puttin in the work to have the success. This season they will field a team with their most seniors as of yet and should have there biggest roster in quiet sometime.Moore i know was on coaching staff at Honaker back in Heath Miller days, but is listed as interim coach.I would like to see David Scammel return to coaching in his native county.Good luck panthers

Bluefield fans...going for 2 when you've scored 70 is why people hate you.
Typical Bluefield football! BHS fans should be embarrassed.
It was about the same Graham hanging 67 on a very weak Grundy team last year. We hadn't played in 3 years and had never embarrassed Graham, but that didn't stop coach at Graham from throwing the ball when he was up by 60 with 2 minutes left in the 4th. That was nothing more that attempting to embarrass a group of kids. Those kids by the way had the same blood sweat and tears into as everyone else. So I'm glad the Beavers gave your all a taste and hope you remember it the next time you get a beat on a weak sister.
Where is the updates thread? Surely the Moderators didn't remove it. I know there was some banter about the spanking Richlands so richly deserved. That is pretty low. It is okay to have them brag when they beat the sisters of the blind, but no one can say anything when lose. I guess this can be the new updates thread.
A rapier is a slender, sharply pointed sword, ideally used for thrusting attacks, used mainly in Early Modern Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries. I was referring to the scathing nature of the "BooHoo" reply. Also, I feel as though I should point on the intent of my original comment. I have closely followed high school sports in SWVa for many years and since the Richlands reign of terror began in the early 2000s I have noticed a common trend. Whenever Richlands loses, especially a close game, it always seems that there was some external circumstance at play. This circumstance is usually officiating. I have watched some poorly called games, but it is impossible for Richlands to get beat on a bad call that many times. I would consider the chances roughly the same as being struck by lightening, while winning the lottery, and while being mauled by an albino moose. Some nights just aren't yours and you get beat fair and square. It just seems that according to some Richlands fans, that never happens.
Everything is new. New bulbs, new covers, new wiring. Everything.
Good maybe now the Richlands fans won't be able to say the referee couldn't see well enough to make a call. Personally I have heard enough whining from the Richlands fans for one lifetime.
Mostly things just getting blown out of proportion. The few problems are kids and parents that think they should have their name in the paper on Saturdays scoring TDs. Some forget the word 'team'.
That can happen win a team wins so long and people start to get a little more arrogant
No, Leo speaks the truth this week. Leo was tired of being a Lozer and wanted to become a winner. Sorry I don't live on a red dirt road, there are none in ABINGDON! If there was, we would use our $$$ and pave the freaking thing! I'm done wit dis guy ........................
Kick this around. List your top ten that you saw yourself. Richlands fan.
1. Robbins (PV)
2. Calaboro (Gatecity)sorry for the spelling on all names
3. Carlock (Graham)
4. Mance (Richlands)
5. Ragsdale (Giles)
6. Salem's current coach Mussenberger?
7. Vaught (Richlands)
8. Housewright (Gatecity)
9. Hubbard (Honaker)
10. Marrs (Grahem) a dig at the Graham fans lol
Never saw Clintwood, Haysi, so don't take offense if your team not mentioned.
Phil Robbins couldn't hold up Carlock's Jock Strap. Robbins was way overrated. Witht the kind of talent he had a PV, a trained beagle could have won a state title. Tom Turner did more than Robbins with less as well. Phil Robbin's coaching ability is a lot like going to a strip club. It sounds awesome, but is really just sort of awkward and you feel dirty when you think about it.
