I dont think anyone is posting anything cuz they dont wanna eat there words later! Graham is just gonna practice, play hard, and do they best they can to win!
This reminds me of the 2004 playoff game Gate City @ Powell Valley. The GC ball carrier made it 2 yards into the endzone not once but twice in a roll on 3rd and 4th downs. The reffs would not make the call. The coaches sent the game footage to the VHSL and got an appology letter from them stating that it did indeed cost GC the game but there was nothing that could be done about it.
The Powell Valley Vikings participated in the Virginia High hosted jamboree last season and it was a very well organized event. It wouldn't surprise me if the Vikes do plan to return.
A good friend & long time Viking fan predicts that PV's consecutive VHSL playoff appearance streak will lapse in 2010. As usual, Powell Valley has a lot of enthusiastic and talented boys out for football - but the team has struggled the past two seasons and they face a very ambitious non-conference schedule.
Oh and yes that was a very good Jamboree last year. GC, Chilhowie, PV, Abingdon, and VHS were there. VHS has a great venue to host those Jamborees. There is some video of last years matchups on youtube.

I think PV will surprise a lot of their very own fans.
You guys are very welcome! I hate trying to read the VHSL one and have always enjoyed the one this site provided so I wanted to make one similar to it that covered the entire state.
Let me know what you all think. I have all single a and double a schedules up. Working on triple a now. It is setup like the one GMan has here where you are viewing say Grahams schedule and click Richlands you will be redirected to their schedule. When I am done you will be able to do that with all the schedules single a through triple a. I also hope to keep up with the entire states scores this football season by recruiting some help to do so. It is a message board setup but no one will be allowed to register. It is for viewing only.
I remember reading somewhere that some of the Region B teams would be put in the West side. Gretna was the main one that caught my eye. Dont remember who else.
As for the new playoff some single a teams would be better off dropping out of their districts and becoming Independents as District Champs will no longer get an automatic bid to the playoffs. You will now have to earn your way in so no longer will teams make it by walking through weak districts.
Graham I guess would be the only to win a Title prior to 1970 and then in Class AA and Class A IF they would be able to win one sometime after dropping to Class A.
No Chance of that happening....Division 2 Region C (when it comes to playoff time) will be tougher than Division 3 Region IV.
They'll be in a weak district....but Regional play will have more quality teams....If Graham expects to compete at the state level in D-2...they'll have to continue to schedule tough teams out of district...and somehow learn to play defense.
But, I agree with the others...there was only one classification when they won their 1st state title.
Actually wont be any Regional play next year so it will make it even harder. Gretna will even be moved to the Western Region and could be a first rounder for Graham to play.
Also for anyone that dont know me I am not a Graham guy. Someone had told me a few years back that Graham had won a Class AAA Title in the 60s. I think even a State program I had bought said it was a AAA title but after more investigation those days only had one Classification and you were handed the State Title either buy a one game playoff if lucky enough to be selected or just handed the Title due to a vote.
If Graham still drops next season to division 2 and was to somehow win the Division 2 State Title would they be the only team to have at least one state title in all three classes?
