As a Richlands fan I'm happy when people are crying and haten on us, because that means we are still kickin their butts. I can remember years ago when Graham was beating us with alot of West Virginia players, it's funny how the tables turn sometimes.
The answer to this question is not an easy one. We have the far left that want to ban everything more dangerous than an air soft gun, and the far right who thinks everyone needs an AK with a 50 round clip in it or the government will turn us into slaves. A Texas Senator said if the principle had access to a gun locker she could have saved some kids, a gun locker or two in each school that a few specially trained staff members had a key to is a wonderful idea. Making it harder for people to have access to certain weapons or high copacity clip would help also.
The sad truth is that people always have and always will kill each other, take away guns they will use knives, sticks, spears, and rocks. We just have to be reasonable. Some people like to drive 100 mph, which is fine on a track, but on the road out in town I dont want the drive by him with my family. This issue is like most "political " issues 90% of folks are reasonable and will compromise but the fools on the far right and left force the issue to the extreme.
This senior class at RHS lost 2 regular season games and one was the first one there freshman year. The jacka$$ that said Mance should pack his stuff and says he has been a fan for 21 years must have just taken a hit of meth. We may have been out coached maybe. I wouldnt trade Mance for any coach in VA, he has done more with the talent available than any coach in the state. I cant wait till we move down a division.
I used to work with a guy who thought someone was recording all of his conversations to bring him up on charges for going against the government. As a Richlands fan I can say that both teams can lay the lumber, play with heart, and have good coaches. If we had to play either one of them again I would feel better about playing Graham, Union's run game is more physical, Graham had a few more flags thrown on them. If Graham can get to the edge they have the speed to win, if they can slow Union's power run game down a little. It will be a good game.
Just a little info Cuba is not in Europe. I was in Cuba for 2 and half years, when I was there we took care of 69,000 wonderful people running for their lives. We live in the best country in the world period. If you dont like Obama then just wait 4 years, I waited 8 years to get rid of W. Bush who by the way was the least intelligent leader our country has ever had. Bluefield has a good team year in and year out. They have beat Richlands multiple times home and away with a superior team. It only takes away from the program when you have those completely over the top crazy calls. Hey Gate City beats Richlands often all so, but when they beat us its on the play on the field never because the refs take over.
He is in our thoughts and prayers. Thank God he was at a game where they have medical assistance on hand to treat him. Maybe because he made a choice to help his fellow SWVA neighbors, and make a possitive impact on all those young men playing football was a sign. Hope everything works out for him and his family.
I remember that game the next year, it started off with a couple of holding calls against Richlands even though they had a much better team than us that year. I know coach Mance has never made a statement like that. He is always very complementary of the other team. Okay who has ever heard a coach make a statement like that about officials.
Michael Horton from Richlands. He is a hard hitting player on D, O and all of the special teams. Better make sure your mouth piece is in and your chin strap is snapped when he is around.
I don't mind playing Bluefield in VA. The last time we played them in Richlands they beat us on a last second field goal, it was a hard fought game and they beat us fair and square in a game that could have went either way. That is fine in my book I can handle being beat by a better team or even by a good team that gets a few breaks or good bounces. I just don't think you can get a fair shake at Mitchell late in the season, if you play them in the 1st three games or so you MIGHT get a fair shake. I've seen it happen to much. Somebody please mark my words in two years if I'm wrong I will eat crow.
I've watched 250ish high school football games and the worst officiated game ever was when Richlands played Bluefield the last game of the season and the Beavers had to win to get in the playoffs. It was in the early 2000s. I've never saw a game at any level in any sport worse than that. The only way Richlands will ever play Bluefield again is if they have no choice.
I remember a few years ago Richlands played Cave Spring at Cave Spring the Cave fans only got really loud once the entire game, they beat us by 2TD's and had multiple good plays. The roar of the crowd came when the announcer make the statement "Christiansburg just beat Salem". That is when you know you have an outstanding football program. I could see that happening in SWVA on friday night when the Richlands score was announced. Pulaski has a very good team and I know they wished the ref's would have let the kids play, it takes away from eveyone when the refs take over the game. I've watched 250ish high school football games and have only seen the helmet to helmet call made once or twice. Pulaski played hard and I wish them the best of luck in the future.
TJ Rasnick was on different level. He inspired people who don't even know what football is. He is an inspiration to everyone and teaches us about lessons in life.
Win or lose it will help the Blues come playoff time. They can win if they play to their potential or they could get blown out if they don't get their head in the game. I would like to say that Frito is a real class act, i've never heard him say anything negative or this site he is a better man than me and most of us (no offense to anyone else).

If there is no chance you will ever need unemployment, welfare, food stamps, social sercurity, medicare/cade, and if you have enough money in the bank to take care of any illnesses or injuries you could ever have ( I work in the medical field this could be as much a 2 million dollars) then vote for Romney. Paul Ryan will do his best to get rid of all that. Take a trip to a third world country and see how that works.
I dont remember Eddie Hall. I thought I was up on area football over the last 30 years, I spent 8 years in the military so I may have missed some stuff. The first "star" player I can remember watching was Sandy Rogers form Richlands.
Not at all I'm a christian. Thats what im saying I leave religion out of politics it has no bussiness their. That being said for someone one who so rightous as to include it in politics like you are doing I find it ironic that you would vote for a morman over a christian just saying. To me politics are simple if you make more than $250,000 as a household you should be a republican if you make less than that you should be a dem simple everything else is just smoke and mirrors no offense to anyone its just a fact.
When did Eddie Hall play and was he better than Bradshaw. When Bradshaw played richlands had a better team than Graham, but he single handedly beat us every year. I know football is a team sport but Bradshaw was amazing he was a one man team, he punted, ran back punts and kickoffs, played running back, safety, drove the bus to and from games, ran the water out on the field during timeouts, played in the band at halftime. I didnt like him per say but I did respect him he was a one of a kind.
Romney is not even a christian he is a morman look it up, they believe that they will get there own planet and be like jesus with lots of sister wives when they die. I'm with redtiger on this one. I believe politics and religion should be apart, but if you are going to mix them you should chech out what a morman is. Sure he believes in jesus but so do muslims and hindus and most other religions but not what he stands for and means to humanity like we do.
Two Richlands fans two different choices. It could easily be 15 different choices for 15 different fans and everyone would be right. For Union fans which Jones brother. for Graham fans anyone other than Bradshaw without going wayyy back, same for Honaker fans with Miller.
