As a Richlands fan I'm happy when people are crying and haten on us, because that means we are still kickin their butts. I can remember years ago when Graham was beating us with alot of West Virginia players, it's funny how the tables turn sometimes.

The answer to this question is not an easy one. We have the far left that want to ban everything more dangerous than an air soft gun, and the far right who thinks everyone needs an AK with a 50 round clip in it or the government will turn us into slaves. A Texas Senator said if the principle had access to a gun locker she could have saved some kids, a gun locker or two in each school that a few specially trained staff members had a key to is a wonderful idea. Making it harder for people to have access to certain weapons or high copacity clip would help also. The sad truth is that people always have and always will kill each other, take away guns they will use knives, sticks, spears, and rocks. We just have to be reasonable. Some people like to drive 100 mph, which is fine on a track, but on the road out in town I dont want the drive by him with my family. This issue is like most "political " issues 90% of folks are reasonable and will compromise but the fools on the far right and left force the issue to the extreme.

This senior class at RHS lost 2 regular season games and one was the first one there freshman year. The jacka$$ that said Mance should pack his stuff and says he has been a fan for 21 years must have just taken a hit of meth. We may have been out coached maybe. I wouldnt trade Mance for any coach in VA, he has done more with the talent available than any coach in the state. I cant wait till we move down a division.

As a Richlands fan I can say that both teams can lay the lumber, play with heart, and have good coaches. If we had to play either one of them again I would feel better about playing Graham, Union's run game is more physical, Graham had a few more flags thrown on them. If Graham can get to the edge they have the speed to win, if they can slow Union's power run game down a little. It will be a good game.

Just a little info Cuba is not in Europe. I was in Cuba for 2 and half years, when I was there we took care of 69,000 wonderful people running for their lives. Bluefield has a good team year in and year out. They have beat Richlands multiple times home and away with a superior team. It only takes away from the program when you have those completely over the top crazy calls. Hey Gate City beats Richlands often all so, but when they beat us its on the play on the field never because the refs take over.

He is in our thoughts and prayers. Thank God he was at a game where they have medical assistance on hand to treat him. Maybe because he made a choice to help his fellow SWVA neighbors, and make a possitive impact on all those young men playing football was a sign. Hope everything works out for him and his family.

I remember that game the next year, it started off with a couple of holding calls against Richlands even though they had a much better team than us that year. I know coach Mance has never made a statement like that. He is always very complementary of the other team. Okay who has ever heard a coach make a statement like that about officials.

Michael Horton from Richlands. He is a hard hitting player on D, O and all of the special teams. Better make sure your mouth piece is in and your chin strap is snapped when he is around.

I don't mind playing Bluefield in VA. The last time we played them in Richlands they beat us on a last second field goal, it was a hard fought game and they beat us fair and square in a game that could have went either way. That is fine in my book I can handle being beat by a better team or even by a good team that gets a few breaks or good bounces. I just don't think you can get a fair shake at Mitchell late in the season, if you play them in the 1st three games or so you MIGHT get a fair shake. I've seen it happen to much. Somebody please mark my words in two years if I'm wrong I will eat crow.

I've watched 250ish high school football games and the worst officiated game ever was when Richlands played Bluefield the last game of the season and the Beavers had to win to get in the playoffs. It was in the early 2000s. I've never saw a game at any level in any sport worse than that. The only way Richlands will ever play Bluefield again is if they have no choice.

I have to admit that I don't really like Graham. That being said Carlock was one of the best around, he was well respected and feared by any opponent.
