MavsRock 21 Report Share Posted August 27, 2005 Suffice to say James Monroe's offensive line has improved greatly from what they were doing the preseason. Narrows only had 2 turnovers, and most of James Monroe's scoring came on drives of 50+yards. Andrew Robertson and Jason Jackson were almost unstoppable from the start as Narrows fell behind 21-0 after 1 quarter. JM only through twice, one pass from Jackson that was dropped at the 10 yard line by corey Miller, and another pass from Freshman Taylor Robertson that was dropped by Ben Preston. Taylor later took matters into his own hands on the next series, scoring a 33yrd td run on the first rush of his high school career. The big area of concern was a lot of confusion in the JM defensive back field which allowed some big plays, and this must be resolved, as it cost the Mavs dearly at the end of last year. Narz_Wave 10 Report Share Posted August 27, 2005 Wow.....we definately didn't play as good as I'd hoped, but the season isn't a complete loss at this point. Regroup for a tough East Mont team next week.
