Beckley_WWHS 10 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 Beckley didn't play their best tonight but still managed to get another win and their first win on the road. Big plays were the name of the game for Beckley. Marcus Manns scored on a 64 yard punt return just before the half. He also had a 22 yard halfback TD pass to Wesley Walker. Marquel Ali led the ground effort with 124 yards on 7 carries including TD runs of 50 and 38 yards. He also had a TD called back because of a holding penalty. The other TD was a 3 yard run by Emeke Eneje to start the scoring. Greenbrier East's only score came on a TD pass that was tipped by one of the Beckley defenders. Beckley will have to cut down on the mistakes big time if they want to continue winning. Too many turnovers and penalties again tonight as was the case in the first three games.
