Gravely said Smith, who was speaking of Bluefield after being asked about the game that will be played Friday against the Beavers, was â€ÂÂcaught up in the emotions of winning a game, and the anticipation of Bluefield's game.“ Gravely wrote that Smith realized that he had â€ÂÂdisrespected himself, his school, his coaches, the McDowell County community, and the Bluefield High School football program.“ Gravely said in the fax that it was an â€ÂÂembarrassing and unfortunate incident,“ adding that â€ÂÂwe have a great respect for the Bluefield High School football program and their accomplishments and look forward to a competitive game Friday night.“ Bluefield and Mount View play Friday at Mitchell Stadium.
