89Tornado 10 Author Report Share Posted October 27, 2005 The game is based upon the movie The Warriors, the movie was made in 1979 in NYC. It's about the biggest gang in the city called "The Riffs" calling a truce to all gangs in the city and having a meeting with 9 members of each gang. The leader of "The Riggs" gets shot at this meeting and another gang blames "The Warriors" for the shooting. Now, the truce is off and "The Warriors" have to make it all the way back home to Coney Island from the Bronx, with every gang in the city looking to get them. The game actually picks up before the movie and shows how all the warriors become a gang, once you make through several levels, it follows the movie pretty closely. Go rent the movie or buy the new dvd out this month. Just keep in mind, the movie was made in 1979, so there is really no gun violence like you would see in today's gang movies....they just use baseball bats, bottles, wooden planks, switch blades and their fists.......... Life was hard back in the day in Roanoke....especially on the West Side where I lived....hate to even visit that place now.
