djr4hurleyfb 12 Report Share Posted August 28, 2006 I watched the first 3 quarters of that game on replay today (the one good thing about Kentucky cable...they replay 2 or 3 football games all weekend long). I must say, the kid is quite impressive, particularly his speed and cutback ability. Very tough runner, feet never stops moving. Shelby Valley couldn't stop him, and Matewan couldn't stop SV's passing game. If Matewan had some depth (they only had 25 players at that game) and a little more in the playbook (all they run is Fake Jet Sweep, Dives to McCoy, Jet Sweeps with 1/2 of them going to McCoy or #3, and a Screen Pass to, you guessed it, McCoy), they could make for a dangerous opponent. Congrats on the record. If not for those penalties, he would have dad-gum near put the record out of reach in the high 600's, low 700's. As for Shelby Valley, they look much improved compared to years past. Grundy better not take them too lightly as they just may make a game of it this year.
