MavsRock 21 Report Share Posted August 26, 2007 The Mavs have to come in ready for a dogfight. Home team just lost a close opening game, and the visitor coming off the big win, perfect setup for an upset. James Monroe will be the heavy favorite, If they shut down the Tigers early and put up 2 or 3 quick scores, they'll dominate the game, but we need to make sure they don't get momentun as they're another teams that's improved from last year despite playing bad offensively last week against G. West.
Sources 10 Report Share Posted August 26, 2007 I'm unfamilar with what both teams have returning this season but if recent years are any indication then James Monroe should cruise despite a few miscues last week.
kevin 13 Report Share Posted August 26, 2007 I hope we get the Robinson kid from Beckley more involved in the offense this week. I would love to see what he could do.

kevin 13 Report Share Posted August 26, 2007 You can't take any game for granted. You have to come ready to play or you will get beat.

[/ QUOTE ] No expectations aren't down, if anything there as high as ever. Just like my dad always said "ANY team can be beaten on ANY day". Teams that forget this usually find it out the hard way. I still can't forget the year Blufield beat Wyoming East 86-0, then Oak Hill goes to Bluefield and beats them 21-14, then Oak Hill went to Wyoming East and suffered a stunning 8-7 loss. Almost anything can happen, of the teams on James Monroe's schedule, everyone with the possible exeptions of Pikeview could pull off a win if we play poorly, hopefully we don't see that happen, but you have to be on gaurd against it. MavsRock 21 Author Report Share Posted August 27, 2007 [ QUOTE ] is shady worth anything this year? [/ QUOTE ] Time will tell, that was a big loss against West. With James Monroe, Bluefield, and Scott on the schedule, and Oak Hill and Summers showing some improvement, that might end up costing them the postseason unless they play alot better than they did last week. James Monroe has to be ready if they do.
