GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted December 18, 2007 As I told someone yesterday, there were things going on "behind the scenes" that he wasn't happy with which helped make his decision to leave a little bit easier...that and $500,000/year more salary with bigger and better bonuses. I had a feeling he wasn't getting everything he was promised when he didn't jump ship for 'Bama last season...
BLU 10 Report Share Posted December 18, 2007 I think he has signed to coach the Lions in 2011.

[/ QUOTE ] GMAN, from what I am hearing there are only a handful of donors that are on Rodriguez's side. Most of the projects that they agreed to where either completed or on schedule to be completed. He was looking for a way out and apparently has used some very bad excuses of to what the administration was not allowing him to do.

[/ QUOTE ] Why fire Pastilong? Because he didnt kiss Rodriguezes butt? Let me give you two reason that Coach Rod cited that the administration didn't follow through on... 1. They would not let players sell back their text books 2. They charged high school coaches $5 to attend clinics Yea, fire Pastilong over that? Just face it, Coach Rod has an ego and it finally got the best him.
