breaks a tackle and goes 73 yards for a touchdown.lord botetourt then scores with a good drive to tie the score on a josh colombini 9 yard run.kirk coles salem running back up from jv then breaks loose for a 58 yard and after a botetourt fumble a 32 yard touchdown score.salem would score twice more before halftime to take a 35-7 lead into halftime.botetourt came out recharged and took it to salem in the third quarter to make it 35-20 salem would finish out the scoring with a touchdown in the fourth as salem wins 42-20

 

observations-salem is a quick strike score from anywhere team.their defense at times had breakdowns.botetourt is huge and salem has people playing in new positions.this was a good test and i believe salems defense will improve. botetourt has a good quaterback,good running back and 3 good receivers.they are a good team on offense. their defense must get better-but i believe they may get their first playoff win this year but it is hard to tell being salems first game-how good is either team? salem finished with 360 yard rushing coles 12 carries for 149.hickman 8 for 124,medley 13-59,dyer and goad with the rest!
