the watcher 10 Report Share Posted October 25, 2008 salem has already lost one starting offensive lineman for year in kyle wilson. yesterday against hidden valley salem lost quarterback derek hickman to a knee injury,fullback daniel dyer to dislocated elbow. last week halfback kirk coles was lost to shoulder injury. backup quarterback,hunter sturgill,obviously nervous missed his first 4 passes against hidden valley but then came back to throw for 190 yards leading the spartans on a 99 yard drive to hold off the titans 14-7.salem defense continues to improve,giving up only seven against the titans and seven against blacksburg and 0 to christiansburg.
