The tournament at Castlewood this weekend was definitely a lot of fun to watch. There was some very good teams and players there. The Emory Hurricanes girls team won both the 14U and 16U divisions. Haley Gilbert and Nicole Counts of Castlewood played for them and both played very well in the games I saw. Lebanon's 16U boys team looked really good also and should be the team to beat next season in this area. It was also good to see St. Paul taking a bigger interest in their programs by putting 5 different teams in this tournament. I pretty sure their 14U boys team won their division. Also two elementary girls players from Castlewood; Haley Crabtree and Kacie Jessee, reach the 1,000 point mark for their careers. I've never seen that done before at the elementary level. It looks like the Lady Devils have a bright future.
