Good job girls. just so you know how the process works, all players named district poy are automatically 1st team all-region. you see who else got 1st team? goins. that's because you can bs and politic district coaches, but coaches outside of your district--they have eyes and brains. t-town36 11 Author Report Share Posted March 27, 2009 No player of the year does not automatically get 1st team all-region. They automaticaly would get honorable mention but can receive better than that if voted for so tell me how did mitchell fix that for sutherland to get 1st team. Also the order the names are listed are the order of selection -- and again Sutherland is ranked above Goins -- this by the Region Coaches -- not the Old Southwest District Coaches Goins is a very good player -- but even Motley would have to admit that he would love to have Sutherland on his team and she would start at the point or 2 guard position. She would on any team in the SWD or Region IV. Today was the state meeting -- I am not sure when the results will be released -- it will be interesting to see who from our area make the A, AA, and AAA teams.
