sandman 13 Report Share Posted August 25, 2009 http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4421972 This is the biggest difference from Miami in thier "golden age". The 'Canes had the best quarterback play year after year. Kelley, Kosar, Teataverde, Walsh, Smith, Toretta, all pro prospect QB's and all consecutive starters. As much as Randy Shannon is a complete class act, that's a BIG sign that it's the beginning of the end for him. Randy needs a 9-3 or better season in the worst way. Else, he's gone. Else, he's gone. I disagree. Only in the third year and, he beat Maimi's conference champions (VPI) last year. You are correct in that 9-3 or 10-2 is needed to show real progress. Bulldog 82 11 Report Share Posted August 26, 2009 I wouldn't read too much into a few QB's leaving a program. They could stay at Miami and set on the bench or transfer and get to play for another team.

The point is, when your program is elite, players transfer in to be a part of the "magic" or culture of a champion. Mich Mustain anyone? No one is leaving Florida, USC or Ohio State, but they are leaving Miami.

We're not talking about one player here.

Anything less (very possible), and he's toast.
