dshreeves 37 Report Share Posted September 17, 2011 What's going on in the MED? Grayson now 4-0 after drubbing Clintwood 61-6! Galax also 4-0 after a huge 43-0 win over Radford and Ft Chiswell improves to 3-1 with the only loss to GW. The MED has really made some serious strides in the last few years. Grayson and Galax appear to be serious contenders for deep playoff runs. Anyone seen these teams and think they could make a run to Salem? sixcat 2,934 Report Share Posted September 17, 2011 Actually Fort lost it's opener to Rural Retreat 28-22. Galax may have it's best team ever with an embarrassment of riches in terms of athletes. I can't see any D1 school being able to match them athlete for athlete. Grayson has it's best team since the "91 team went 9-1 loosing to N. Buncombe, NC. That Grayson team went to Lee County and knocked them off after Lee had lost the D-4 state championship game the season before against Tabb. Galax and Grayson should both be undefeated going into the season finally at Grayson on November 4. Galax goes to Craig Co. next Friday and Grayson goes to Carroll next week with only district games remaining for both after that. They should both walk through the MED.
