Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted October 6, 2014 That's the state flag of the State of Mississippi. This has nothing to do with the ACC, but it deserves a mention. The state of Mississippi is usually 45th or worst in every freaking metric imaginable. Education? Check. Obesity? Check. Life expectancy? Check. Rates of diabetes and heart disease? Check. Median income? Check. College educated graduates by percentage of population? Check. Football? Used to be check, until this year. Ole Miss and Mississippi State each played teams whose combined ranking was still in the single digits. Both won this last week, pushing their combined records to 10-0. In a happy coincidence, both teams are tied for ranking of 3rd this week. Celebrate, Mississippi. Don't happen often for you guys. As for our little party: Everyone lived, which surprised me. The games went as Vegas predicted. Louisville won soundly Friday night, which was a welcome sight for Dear Leader and cityofRaven. Clemson used the truck stick on NC State, which was happy news for hokiebird7 and Canes00. After 2 quarters of sheer terror, Florida State finally pulled away from pitiful wake, which was a pleasant circumstance for GMan. Perhaps the big winner of the week was swvaoutdoors, who gambled with VT to see them pay off when the Hokies rolled over No Classes. So we all live to fight another week, the week which will mark the halfway point in our second season. This week's slate: Saturday, October 11th Cincinnati @ Miami - 12:00 PM #1 Florida State @ Syracuse - 12:00 PM Duke @ #22 Georgia Tech - 12:30 PM North Carolina @ #6 Notre Dame - 3:30 PM Boston College @ NC State - 3:30 PM Louisville @ Clemson - 3:30 PM Another confidence-uninspiring slate this week. Who to pick? Does Duke/GT give you confidence? How about Louisville/Clemson in the battle for 2nd in the Atlantic? How about hapless UNC against Notre Dame? Most of us have already picked Boston College AND NC State. Do you burn Florida State this early, or do you trust Miami?
