Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted February 4, 2004 Bluefield's big men got into foul trouble early in the game as Garrett Patterson only played three miuntes in the first half and Dustin Wade about seven minutes. The result, MV killed Bluefield on the glass in the first half. The Knights shot the ball decently and when they missed William Jackson ate up the boards along with Calloway. Bluefield closed the gap to four points early in the third quarter, but then Patterson picked up his fourth foul and MV ran the lead back out to around 10. Mount View was unconscious from the 3-point line to start the fourth, hitting four to stretch the lead out to 18. Bluefield got it back to 10, but could get no closer than that the rest of the way. Mount View wanted this game badly after the thrashing they suffered at the hands of Bluefield in football and it showed. After the game you would have thought they won the state title as they celebrated wildly at mid-court. MV played a great game and I congratulate them on the win. It's unfortunate that cannot perform like that every night or they'd be the #1 in AA and unbeaten.
