dmspartan 10 Report Share Posted December 31, 2006 The 'Dogs finished the Classic 2-2 - a little disappointed but pleased nonetheless. The tournament atmosphere will greatly help the 'Dogs as they prepare for Piedmont District play after the New Year. And the quality of play was excellent as well. We are hopefully looking forward to returning to the Classic in the near future.

dmspartan 10 Author Report Share Posted January 4, 2007 We were a little "slow" out of the blocks and really never got up to speed. And we were playing in their "neck of the woods". And both Dobyns-Bennett and Tennessee High had played almost 3 times as many games as we had at that point in time. So we were - and still are - a "work-in-progress" as far as being tournament-ready. And we were a ways from being at the top of our form even for games - having had to wait and postpone two games because our football team was in the playoffs. But I think that game experience helped us "gel" even quicker - witness our 84-55 "drubbing" of Dan River last Tuesday night.
