GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted January 6, 2007 Twin Valley unveiled a team picture of its 2006 state runner-up squad to hang on the wall before Friday’s game with Haysi. Then both offenses looked like still pictures the rest of the night. Matthew Baldwin (18 points) and Hunter Simpson (16) combined for 34 of the Panthers’ 50 points. Jelane Mock led Haysi with 14 points. Baldwin added 11 rebounds and four blocks as Twin Valley out-rebounded Haysi 35-16. The Panthers lost point guard Garrett Horne in the first quarter, when he suffered a cut and lost a tooth after hitting the floor face first as another player landed on his back. babyblue 10 Report Share Posted January 8, 2007 I'll have to say it was good getting to see these guys walk out on the floor a final time.. Also, kudos to the Haysi crowd especially the guy that yelled " Hey turn it around so we can see"... referring to the large picture. Then, came a large ovation from the Tiger crowd.. It was a great moment and an inspirational one for the young Panthers team, and the faithful TV fans. I hope Garrett is ok and able to play the next game!! Whats the word on him.. I havent heard?
