WOAY had a nice article on tonight about bluefield's offensive play caller, just so happens to be the son of the head coach, freddy simon jr.

 

It talked about him playing at bluefield, and going off to college and when the opportunity came and the offensive cordinator job was open and Sr. asked him if he would take it and Jr. agreed

The Beavers had a 2,000 yard QB for the first time in school history, a receive who will break 1,000 yards on the season after this weekend for another school first, and the team is on the verge of winning the state title.

 

How do you think he has done?

I've think he's done a great job this season, i mean after losing 2 all-state linemen we made up for it quite easily, and if your undefeated heading into the state championship then your obviously doing something right

Very awesome. It sounds like he's done a heck of a job as an offensive coordinator.

 

Does anybody have any idea how many yards Jay Sims passed for in his senior season? He graduated in 1984, so his senior year would have been the fall of 1983.
