Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted December 5, 2004 I really don't know what needs to be said b/c I believe the final score speaks for itself. The perfect end to a perfect season, 14-0 and the Class AA state champions. Dang, that sounds good doesn't it? The Bluefield Beavers, 2004 Class AA State Champions! Yeah, I like that...lol Congrats to Wayne on an outstanding season. Despite falling behind 28-0 at halftime those kids fought their guts out and I respect for them for that. Most teams would have laid down falling behind by four touchdowns in the state title at halftime, but Wayne kept fighting and I take my hat off to them. [/ QUOTE ] I've only seen these young men play one time this year (last week versus Weir), but I have to say, seeing the way they made their comeback showed me how much pride these guys have. It would have been so easy to hang their heads on that Weir drive, welcoming the warmth of the locker room, but they dug down deep, found that reserve, and did what they had to to win the game. That game says so much about these young men. The 2004 Beavers can hang their head high, they have showed they have as much pride as anyone. I know I'm proud of them.
