I think they win Region C, but just my opinion. They are playing a team that is far better than its record and when all said and done, just like last year, probably a top 4 AA team in the state of WV. I think Grayson plays Honaker in the state semifinals.

I agree they play Honaker in Semis

    Bluefield 21

    Grayson 6

    almost 2nd quarter

Just how I thought it would go up to this point. Grayson Co will not make it out of 2nd round playoffs - maybe 3rd round. But then again they are still 1A 🤣 so maybe they will play Honaker in playoffs and have a shot.

I wonder if in a month if anyone on that list will be able to beat Graham.  The injury bug should be healing up soon.

I think Radford would be a good match up for them. I think Graham would win if they get healthy. Believe it would be a shootout type game. Radford will find a way to choke late in the game.

  4. Odd that Narrows seems to be on the up and coming and Giles is in serious decline. Giles JV seems has been pretty good the past few years hopefully that will translate to Varisity the next few years. Well unless half of them quit or transfer to Narrows to play lol

It also has Honaker right now by 1 pt over Grayson. I hate to admit this, but Narrows ain't bad. Narrows has the ability to play for a state title. Now.....I Did NOT just predict Narrows to play for a state title and represent the west, but the point I'm making is....they are within a TD of Grayson and Honaker regarding what the computers think of them, so it looks like Narrows is not just completely overwhelmed/out talented by the likes of the MED and teams like Honaker in 1D like they are most years........we will find out though.

I think Bluefield will beat Grayson by 10-14 pts. Could be wrong.

Just think if Narrows had their other athlete on the field. I believe they would certainly play for a state title then for sure. They would have two of the best on the field in 1A at the same time.

  6. Giles will not have a winning season anytime soon. Next year will be another disappointing season. Narrows wins county class next year as well. Yes the JV was good this year but does that translate to varsity being good in the near future I think not. Been hearing that for 4 years! But wait Giles will be back they have some athletes coming up. Where? Did they transfer to JM or Narrows?

Giles Defense looked extremely strong early. Held Cburg to zero points for an entire half, didn't give up a single point against Blacksburg until the second team went in. Lost a game against Radford that was in no way a competitive contest from the start and then decided to change around the entire defense. Since that game and those Constant personnel/alignment changes weekly, teams have done whatever offensively they've wanted with zero resistance. Common sense would tell you what happened and the solution. Injuries can't be an excuse because we've had all the original starters all season with the exception of tonight. And on that note,  I can assure you that one DB being out didn't give up 49 points again tonight. Heck, we even played Grayson without a safety a lot of times?!?! Couldn't have made it any easier for them

This team showed promise in scrimmage and for the first few games then boom they completely implode. To me it looks like a combination of coaching issues, questionable position changes, defensive alignments and lack of athletes. Hard to overcome all of this. The games against GW and Grayson Co should have been a heck of alot more competitive than they were. Completely dominated by both teams. Giles won't win another game. Galax will come to town and do whatever they want on offense next week. Bluefield will win 50 something to 0, Tazewell more of the same. Fort Chiswell will win by 2 or 3 touchdowns.
