I really believe this can go either way. If it is the Giles that showed up for Galax then Giles by 2 + touchdowns. If its Giles from the George Wythe game then Narrows by 1-2 touchdowns. Somewhere in between it's a toss up.

I'm just going off of what I have seen from Giles line play.

The county clash - Who wins and why? I'm taking Narrows. Giles will not be able to cover Crigger and IMO Narrows line play is much better. Narrows by 1-2 touchdowns

Giles used to have great line play. The offensive line was the thing that made them formidable. They had excellent blocking allowing for the back to get big chunks. Watching them play twice this year it is apparent the offensive line just isn't getting any push and missing key blocks. Tonight while watching them on the live stream I noticed they have athletic running backs but they arent getting the blocks they need consistently to move the ball effectively. Defensively I noticed they try to tackle high resulting in the opposing backs to keep driving. They also seem to be getting pushed off the line. My question is...Is there a strength issue that can be remedied in the weight room or are the offensive and defensive line just young? As in mainly sophomores and some juniors who need more time?

Man I thought Giles had made some strides back to the old winning ways with the close game last week. This week showed they are not there yet.

Narrows a toss up?

Looks like Giles will be lucky to win 4 games the way they are playing tonight. Given the schedule they have remaining.

This is a shocker. I've seen both play and thought it was a good matchup.

Never would have guessed this. This Giles defense does not look like the same one that played against Galax.

Single wing is alot of misdirection and doesn't require as many skill positons. Relying heavily on the offensive line and blocking schemes. The spread or other offenses rely more on skill positions. So you then need wideouts, running backs, and a good QB to make that work. Of course a good offensive line is still necessary. I just feel like Giles is unique and the offense Narrows runs is generic.

Good. I believe they would still be very competitive if they were to keep the single wing. If they change to a more spread offense then they wouldn't be any different than most other teams.

I hope they keep the single wing. Would the new school be 2A or 3A?

If Giles can effectively move the ball I think Giles wins.

It is apparent that Galax has wore down the Giles line. Very good game though.

I believe the Galax offense has worn Giles down now. Giles will have to answer or it is over.
