  1. And so it begins. Graham will not punt tonight
  2. Both teams are different than last year. During the first matchup last season, Graham still wondered if they belonged. To me this year's team is very confident and hungry. And a year older. Meanwhile, the confidence of the Blues has been shaken. Putting the pads and the R on and just showing up and winning because you are Richlands doesn't work anymore. See the Marion game. I've watched both of these teams play Bluefield. Graham could have won and Richlands probably should have lost by three touchdowns or more. This game won't be close. Winning at Ernie Hicks Stadium is a lot harder when the Tornadoes have the Jimmies and Joes, tonight it's all G-Men.
  3. Our country's fascination with beat downs amazes me. This game will be less competitive than McGregor-Mayweather. No doubt Mance is a great, hall of fame worthy coach, but this year he just doesn't have the Jimmies and Joes. I'm sure if he sticks around that will change. But tonight Prince Palmer becomes the King of Tazewell County and Graham marches on to bigger and better things. Bring on Union and Appomattox. No offense to Marion, well I guess it is, but Marion doesn't come within three touchdowns of Graham. Football is fun in Bluefields right now! If I gave you Gate City's win total +1/2 against state championships the Cities of Bluefield win this year who do you got? Graham 41 Richlands 10
  4. The only thing in doubt here is what is the over/under on when Richlands fans start to cry about the officiating. My guess, is midway through the second quarter. Despite losing to Bluefield, Graham is more talented. Graham wins this game easily. Anywhere from three to four touchdowns
  5. I have seen Tazewell play twice this year, against Graham and Bluefield. Despite being severely overmatched, neither time did I think Tazewell was intimidated. I didn't see the game last night, but if the score was 7-0 in the fourth quarter it doesn't sound like Tazewell was intimidated by Richlands last night. The young Bulldogs seem to have a belief in themselves. Hopefully they can stick together and it works out forbthem. What you are saying does have some merit though, Graham hasn't been able to get over the hump against Richlands and until you beat a team you will always have doubts. Looking forward to seeing that game.
