Man you like a little girl.  Commenting a little heart emoji because Hurley lost. No matter where you take your kid he can’t play. Grow the hell up. Grundy can’t beat  JI burton , eastside or chilhowie or galax.

You're a pretty sad, pathetic lowlife. I started this topic to get some conversation going because there was a similar topic on VA Preps. No one was attacking your "precious" little Rebels. As far as you(hurley11) and anyone else from Hurley who has an issue with my kid can kiss his ass right in the crack. Now, how's that!

  2. I just flipped a coin on whether it would be Narrows or Parry McCluer. Some on VA Preps seem to think that Parry McCluer might be a little better this year. I also flipped a coin between Grundy and JIB, but Grundy handled them with ease in the first matchup last year. Losing McNutt is a major loss, but I think that Grundy is overall faster than what they were last year.

Since a 1A school has only a slim chance of beating a good 2A school, how about a !A poll. Here are my picks

    1 Chilhowie

    2 Galax

    3 Hurley

    4 Grundy

    5 GW

    6 JIB

    7 Patrick Henry

    8 Northwood

    9 Thomas Walker

    10Castlewood

You question my picks, but you pick a team 3rd over a basically all senior team at number 4, who won 42-0 last year over them. Sometimes you need to take off your Rebel colored glasses. Hurley's pass defense looks like swiss cheese. If I were an opponent, I would throw the ball on every down.

  4. Black Diamond-1) Grundy 2) Honaker 3) Hurley 4) Twin Valley

    Hogoheegee-1) Chilhowie 2) PH 3) Northwood 4) Holston

    Cumberland-1) JIB 2) TW 3) Eastside 4) Castlewood 5) Twin Springs 6) Rye Cove

Region D Champ-Chilhowie-----The only team that I think could possibly defeat Chilhowie from being Region D champ is Grundy. Riverheads offensive line pushed Chilhowie's defensive line around last year. Grundy's offensive line is the only one that I think could possibly give them a challenge.

He did just fine against your first string defense when he was running Grundy's plays the week of practice before the game. In fact, I witnessed 2 touchdowns that he ran on them in the time that I was there. I knew McNutt was in for a big night, and I was right. His only problem is that he doesn't vape, etc.

I don't see where you mentioned a kid once..But whatever gets you through the day.

Do I have to mention my kid to ask a question about a "rumor" which was told to find out if there is any truth to it? This would involve my kid directly since he is considering going to Grundy to play for Plymal if things stay as they are. Unlike you, not everyone is a Greg fan.

I think you should quit worrying about it and let Coach Tester enjoy the body of work his staff and himself had this year. The kids played there hearts out and enjoyed a lot of success. Great season for these young men. What he does is none of your concern.

Here's something to occupy you, 1 Timothy 5:13    maybe you'll get the point.

I don't think that you have a kid who currently plays football for Hurley, so it somewhat does concern me. I could care less if Greg chooses to run for President. He isn't the interest of this topic. MY KID IS! So take your busybody passage and look in the mirror.

Guys, we better stay on topic in talking Hurley smash mouth football or else @Rebel_Yell will be pissed!

Thanks Dicky for keeping everyone in line. I knew that you could be counted on. Now that your job is done here, you can move along and help other posts in need of useless comments.

  9. Refer back to Nov 26, 2016 in a topic on Hurley's Schedule if you need a reminder, but anyway, the reason for this topic wasn't to let Central or Union fans hijack the thread. I apologize for mentioning your name. We didn't see things the same in that thread, I truly do hope that Union wins the state title this year. I'm only interested in Hurley's athletics only. If no one has any info on what the subject matter is that was stated in the opening, then let this topic fade away until something new occurs.

  10. I'm not really interested in the Walmart Warriors. I'm only interested in the future of Hurley's athletics program. That was the reason for starting this thread. In addition, even though Big Winners and I haven't seen eye to eye in the past, I hope Union can win the state title this year.

  11. That makes perfect sense, but if he should decide that he wants to step down to have more time to watch his son play ball at Central next year, the right thing to do would be to tell the football team soon, so they can get a guy in place that the team would rally around or a hey guys, I'll be back next year.

  12. I think that there would be a lot of bickering, but I think that it would be good all around because Hurley High and Grundy High are getting some age on them. Athletically speaking, you would have a hard time finding an empty seat, so you could bring a lot of revenue for upkeep and maintenance to the sports programs.
