It's going to be hard for any team to beat the Pioneers due to their depth. The Pioneers won't beat themselves. They've got 3 strong arms and a rock solid defense behind them. If they are hitting consistently watch out. Keep it going Pioneers, bring it home. They could won 2 titles in 3 years when all is said and done.
"They could won? what wtf does that even mean mister shoulda , coulda , woulda
1st thing, it's an "inning" and not a "period." That makes your arguement invalid. Secondly, it's simple .."would have, should have, could have, and finally "what if"..bottom line 7 to 0 is the only score that matters, end of story.
Better go back and read my original post mister illiterate. Says inning. Quit dancing around the question. What did I say that what was factually incorrect? Why you so butthurt over that fact? You cant answer the first question can ya?
My question is why you are so worried about the game being closer? Fact is, it was never close. Auburn made errors and Lebanon capitalized, end of story. You can keep going with the what ifs all day long but it doesn't change anything.
Fact is if it wasn't for the 1st period game would have been closer. Am I wrong? What is factually incorrect about what I said?
What year is the Hertig? I know he had a brother on the 2021 team. Just curious if he will be back.
Lebanon will be right back on top of the SWD next year IMO
Also if we are making excuses why Auburn lost they could have been looking forward to football season but we all know that is false..
that’s the problem with all the travel ball that’s played now and only playing one sport. I bet that game meant a lot more to Lebanon that Auburn because they have some school pride and not a tournament to run off to next weekend
Why are you making excuses for them Leabanon laid it to them? Auburn just awful in the first
Committing errors is part of baseball. One team made mistakes, the other team didn't, and capitalized off of those opportunities. That is what Champions do. That's what made this Pioneers team so good. They never beat themselves and when other teams made mistakes, they capitalized off of them. That's why they would make "close" games blowouts. That's why they practically ended Auburns hopes of winning in the 1st inning.
Yes committing errors is part of the game why are you crying over my comment? Is this your first yr watching baseball?
I don't care how you are trying to spin it, whether it was the 1st inning or later in the game, Lebanon was going to have an inning like that. That team had innings all year where they'd end the game. For Auburn, Lebanon knocked them out in the 1st. Dropping fly balls is part of the game. One team made mistakes the other didn't and capitalized off of them. That's what championship teams do.
What part of my comment was wrong? Why are you crying about this? If not for that first inning the game would have been closer the score board even agrees.
Also Lebanon has made a lot of teams defenses look like a sub par little league teams the past few seasons. Auburn wasn't the first to look like that and won't be the last.
I think dropping routine fly balls was more on auburn. Those should have been made at that level. So you saying the game wouldnt not have been closer if not for the first inning?
It wouldn't have mattered, Auburn was over matched. Lebanon could have thrown any of top 3 pitchers and would have got similar results. Auburn may have got a run with the 2 other guys. When you outscore your post season opponents. 80 something to 5, it shows that you are just on another level then everyone, nobody was beating that team in 1A. They would have had a shot in 2A as well most likely.
It still would have been a lot closer if Auburns defense didn't look like a sub par little league team in the first. Not sure where the butt hurt is coming from over that fact.
Been a lot closer game if not for first inning. Auburn looked awful on defense. 4 guys standing around watching a ball drop was just one of the things. Leb looked good made some awesome defensive plays

They have lost some close games but a disappointing season overall. Are they unlucky, out coached or just dont have the talent? From the few games ive seen they have the talent.

WAXM has been around for a bit. This was my go to many, many, years ago when the internet came around and I believe WAXM was broadcasting online since the late 90s. I listened to a bunch of Powell Valley and Lee High games. Of I recall correctly, as early as 1998 or 99.
They have had had some really good announcers on that station over the yrs
First Downs: WCC 12, U 16; Rushes-Yards: WCC 40, U 340; Passing Yards: WCC 161, U 78; Comp-Att.-Int.: WCC 8-19-1, U 6-9-0; Fumbles-Lost: WCC 1-0, U 2-1; Penalties-Yards: WCC 2-10, U 11-110; Punts-Average: WCC 1-38, U 0-0
So roughly 200 total yards Central vs a lil over 400 for Union. Just from watching i thought that would be lopsided
