Why are there no Bluefield games on NFHS?

Offensive play calling has got to change for RV. If that happens I expect a good win for the Pack on the road. If that doesn’t happen. Then it will be another very long night for the Pack. Every game scares this Wolfpack can right now and it should not be that way. I know how hard the players work and want the changes to be made that can allow them to use their full strengths and abilities. The only things preventing their extensive success is the offensive play calling. Ridgeview by 14 at least, if the changes are made. If not, then they will have have fight really hard again to barley get the win or even their first loss.

I was at this game. I shave my head and I swear to you I had hair growing just so I could pull it out!! RV’s offensive play calling was so offensive to our amazing offensive athletes. They do not give these super talented players a chance to make plays. Everything I have read here that’s post-game comments are so on point. Every week RV has to fight extra hard to win when they could literally destroy most teams they have played and been done by mid-third quarter of play. They put O’Quinn in such a vulnerable position and take our playmakers out of the game by the constant routine of the same plays that do not work. RV offensive coaches….I beg you to reflect and change your system of play calling to support what these start athletes can do for this team before this season ends without these hard working players truly making as far as they certainly can.

That would be great! It’s my understanding that some more new options for beavers has been added and for Hill. Ridgeview has a play they used against union with Hill getting a short pass up the middle from O’Quinn that’s is open every time it is attempted, but the ball has to be perfectly timed. Cannon Hill has a cannon for an arms as well, so I would start looking for some deeper passes from him out of the back position.

Yea. Beavers is making a big difference on defense. He seems to swarm to the ball really good when the ball is in the air. Again, Hackney is strong on deference now that’s he’s back as well. This is going to be a very interesting week for RV. If penalties and turnovers are low, it could be a big win. If not, it is going to be a long night for the pack. I suspect they will continue to run the ball and throw when they need to. I have just been really impressed by the versatility of the offense with the run and passing ability. But right now, their defense is hard to beat.

I agree here. This game concerns me for RV. However, I believe RV is at a point where we might start seeing a more complete game from them. O’Quinn threw some great passes against JB which may re-spark the throwing confidence. RV is obviously doing different things, from all appearances of the JB game, with Beavers to get his hands on the ball more as well. Counts is electric and just sits in the shadows for the opportunity to do his thing. Hackney will be back so RV has all their running backs back and a key defensive player in Hackney. Right now Hill is playing as good at his positions as any skill player in the state on any level. His defensive skills are crazy as well as Honaker. Abingdon is so dangerous when they are hungry like they are right now. They have some great athletes. This is definitely a game that deserves a lot of attention.

Both teams have a lot on the line. Ridgeview need to solidify their status and Union needs to stand up to the pressure of being a region D contender with their losses. Most certainly if Ridgeview plays a complete game they will handle Union. Ridgeview can literally move the ball solidly on the ground and air. True they have an amazing air game, but their ground game is really good. Defense is really good with a couple lagging areas that seem to have tightened up. Union is never gonna be not prepared for Ridgeview. They want this and can win it if they catch Ridgeview slacking in any area. Gonna be a monster game. The Ridge will be packed! An amazing venue with plenty of parking and standing room.

Just watching RV the other night I got the feeling there a special team this year. Obviously there were things that needs work but over all they were very impressive. Fast hard hitting defense, offense that you just felt could score anytime they wanted, even the field goal kicker was perfect on the night. If they can work on some minor things and stay focused and healthy they will do just fine.
