Talk about not being prepared. No team should be fooled that many times in one game.

I researched Christiansburg. They are 3A and other teams in their conference except for Cave Spring and Hidden Valley are 4 and 5A. I researched the 5A school which is in Roanoke. They got their tails kicked by two 3A schools.

Cop out. Volunteer has 1124 students. The other schools in their conference are Greeneville, Elizabethton, Seymour, Grainger, and Sullivan East. The school closest to Volunteer’s enrollment is Grainger. And Grainger has just over 900 students. That’s a 200 some student difference. Volunteer doesn’t exactly dominate. We never have. Don’t whine about enrollment.

Does the PA guy at Union talk too much?

I don’t know about blowing train horns but when we thrashed Clintwood in 07 there was some whining going on. A PA announcer costing RV the game? You can’t make this up. 😂 This may be a dumb question but is the old LPD still around?

What was the score of Union and Ridgeview? Ridgeview? That’s in Clintwood isn’t it? We played Clintwood in 2007. Beat ‘em good too. That was our last playoff season too! How could a train horn cost Ridgeview the game? I went to the Union and Wise Central game last week. It may be because I sat on the Wise Central side but the Union train horn definitely didn’t help Union gain an unfair advantage. Hell Union didn’t have any advantage after what I saw. Has Union had that thing awhile? Gate City had a fairly loud horn. Maybe they still do? I just don’t see what the fuss is about. On another note it was nice to see a Pal’s not far from Wise County Central High School!

That’s a shame. Volunteer has the Hawkins County cup as they win 48-3 over Cherokee. Happy for the Falcons.

Cherokee is struggling this season. Volunteer is currently 4-4 and I think favored to beat Cherokee. We beat Cherokee 16-0 last season. For awhile they’ve lived in our heads rent free.

Ha! Volunteer’s fight song is actually Rocky Top. Rocky Top on Friday and Saturday. Big game for Volunteer Friday. Against Cherokee.

Hey everyone. I am new here. I am a fan of the Volunteer High School Falcons just right next to Kingsport. I’m in my 30s but I know Volunteer played one of the schools that made Union. Powell Valley. I think it was 40 years ago? Well they kicked our asses 22-0 I think? I like a lot of the same pro and college teams people like. Lifelong Saints fan. I get a lot of crap from Titans and Cowboys fans. But it’s all in good fun! I love me some Vols. I love the Bravest. I know football at Volunteer usually makes for a rough season at Volunteer but this season has been excellent for our standards. Went to the Union and Central game. Central side. Nice stadium. Wish the seating was better. Those Union fans sure get fired up and support their boys! Thought I’d become acquainted with everyone here.
