  1. Region 2D winner will be 1 of 4 teams Gate City/Central/Lebanon/Graham Region POY? Collins/Garrett/Carpenter/Keene/Ray/Graham SWD: 1) Graham/Lebanon 3) Va High 4) Marion M7: 1) Gate City/Central 3) Union 4) John Battle just my opinion basing off what I seen last year
  2. This is a stellar matchup in my opinion. Both teams are hot at the right time. For the second half of conference play: Union has beaten GC(by 4), Ridgeview(by 3) , Battle (In OT) , Lee (by 19) (4-2, with loses to Abingdon and Central) Central has beaten GC(by 10), Union(by 2), Battle(by 14), Lee (by 19) (4-2 with loses to Abingdon and Ridgeview, they took Ridgeview to OT and had a good look at the buzzer) I am expecting a packed house, better get some popcorn.
  3. Give me your current Top 5 Players in the Mountain 7 as we close out regular season play tomorrow
  4. I know Gate city won, maybe by 6 or so. scoring was even all around Central beat Lee ethan collins broke central single game scoring record with 44points. He also had 16rebounds-7assists Abingdon beat Union. ramsey with 25pts Wharton with 17 for bears
  5. According to his hudl: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/17127549/63c0e7493deaa303f02eccc6?mibextid=Zxz2cZ it has him for 22ppg 7.5rpg 3.2apg on 53% FG for mid-season
  6. Willis is a great player, but I don’t know if I would take him over these three.
  7. Pretty sure all of these players are seniors and juniors other than one, Collins- a sophomore. Pretty impressive in my book that he’s getting compared to upperclassman.
  8. Looked like one of Central’s starters and contributors had a sling on his right arm and did not play. That probably didn’t help. I was thinking Central was going to be the best out of the bottom 4 (Central, Lee, Union, Battle) however, with them sitting at 0-5 in the district, every game matters from now on if they want to play in the region. John Battle played Gate City pretty tough the other night as well.
  9. I like to give credit when it’s due, and anyone can certainly say that about Zack and his bears. He has them playing hard and with a great game plan due to their inability to score. Now, their next 3 games are Abingdon, Ridgeview, and Gate city. Due to size, I don’t see them winning any of those. Let’s look at their 3 district wins. Lee: OT game, could have went either way. Lee played Ridgeview very well last night. The duo of hammonds and pendergraft is tough to defend. Their second game will be a fireworks show because it seems they cannot stop one another. Battle: Had some clutch buckets from the Anderson kid and won by 6. Good win. Central: Bostic got to the rim whenever he wanted. They beat this Central team early in the season, in a game where central’s best player wasn’t 100%. Central has almost beat Virginia high, gate city, Ridgeview, and Abingdon. The second matchup most certainly won’t be easy With all that being said; a win is a win, congrats to the bears and we should have an exciting finish to the year in the M7
  10. If the Central Warriors play like that, they can compete with anyone in the region. That felt like a tournament championship caliber game there. Virginia high is a very good team, if not best in the region
  11. Boys: Lee high def. Rye Cove 66-43 Kachea def. Thomas Walker (confirmed. anyone have score?) Abingdon def. Tazewell 78-66 (Benefit Game) Marion def. Eastside 57-44 John Battle def. Honaker 50-48 in OT.
  12. Thomas Walker creates a turnover and secures a 50-48 win over Lee high with a game winning layup with 6 seconds left. Stats: Thomas Walker: Kimberlin 25pts #42 10pts Lee High Leonard 20pts Pendergraft 11pts Hammonds 10pts Lee high opens their season Tuesday against Rye Cove TW plays Kachea next Tuesday
  13. Kachea def. Central boys 69-59 last night in a scrimmage. Collins #15 for Central had 33pts Dotson #32 had 11 pts #40 led Kachea in scoring with 23 #4 had 16 is this a bad sign for the warriors?
