Hopefully Union got the egg laying out of their systems. On paper, Union should take care of business next week You can argue a 17-13 scored in favor of Richlands or a 20-7 game in favor of Union.

I am not sure of a motive. It seems most likely to be intended as a childish prank but it is actually criminal behavior. Or could it be fans from a more local rival school that hate Union? Either way I don’t know so I will not speculate. I will say that they probably added fuel to an already fired up Union.

If they did not kick to Mitchell then there is a possibility that Union’s offense found a way to score.

Oh wow! You can do math. Union offense scored 1 touchdown against Richlands. Their special teams scored 1 touchdown and they scored on a field goal. Have you not kept up with Union at all this season? Union has multiple threats on offense. Look at how well their special teams has done this season. First you try to say Union hasn’t played a strong schedule. In part that may seem to be true as some of their opponents were indeed down. You predict that because of that Union will lose to Richlands (as was implied). You do realize Richlands’ schedule right? And one of Richlands’ 6 losses came at the hands of Union. If Union’s strength of schedule was a problem then they wouldn’t be first seed in a system largely based on wins and strength of schedule. Please stop while you are far behind.

I think Julius’ presence at Union today may have lit an even bigger fire to motivate Union.

If you are trying to say Union doesn’t play anybody, you have your opinion. Some teams were down. But then again, Union did get first seed which is largely based on wins and strength of schedule. Also, the defense from 2015 was not a great defense. Poorly coached defense. That defense almost cost a game or two in regular season 2015. A much better defense this season. A much more well rounded team this year. Don’t hide your envy.

Take away the Mitchell punt return for TD and you very well could have a Union TD on first play from scrimmage. Nothing against Richlands but with the stats overall it wasn’t really even.

The past several games show that Union has progressively improved. Union's secondary sounds like they still need some work. This game is at Bullitt Park. That is one thing giving Union an edge on paper. Zirkle, Qualls, Jenkins, and DEFINITELY Mitchell are Union's major offensive threats. The edge on athletes and offensive execution seems like it is firmly in Union's favor. However, this is a rivalry. Richlands is NOT going to be an easy out and they will not just lay down. Union is going to have to come ready and fired up. If they are then I see this being a 20-7 affair in favor of Union. If not then Richlands could make them pay.

Union has home all the way through game 4, IF and only IF they make it that far. I think that will help them IF they make it that far. Even against Appomattox, because Appomattox will be at Bullitt Park if both Union and Appo make it to that round. It could also be Giles or Glenvar at Bullitt Park. Also, don't count out teams like Ridgeview and DEFINITELY do NOT count out Graham. Union and Graham have the best chance of making it that far. However, Union AND Graham, as BLUESFAN has said, really need to be focused on Richlands and John Battle, respectively.

While I think it’ll be 20-7, it’ll be decided late. Mitchell is still himself. Quick. Passing game still has question marks I’d say.

This is the playoffs. Anything can happen. It would be a huge mistake for Union to take Richlands lightly. It’s a nice rivalry. I only wish I could make the 3 hour drive for it. Only way I would be able to is if it is on Saturday. That said, I think Union is fired up enough for a good playoff run at least until the Region 2D finals. What worries me is that they do have a history of coming out flat in first round. I think they are always fired up to play Richlands. Richlands won’t just come out and let Union win. I think the Bears ply a nice game of keep away and win 20-7.
