GC does have a good atmosphere for football....

The Lilly kid was a real player, tuff as nails. Both teams matched up on team speed and there were some very hard licks laid by each team. Bluefield IMO is very well coached.

The horn not for your benifit sitting home listen to the radio. Plain and simple is to fire up the GC team. We have had the horn many years so if that is your problem so be it. I could care less your about opinion on the horn. It seems to be something every week, cheerleaders, saying a prayer before a game, bringing to many fans etc...

I agree Kingsport Times had it at 197 Total Yards & Bristol Hearld was at 193 Total Yards. Bluefield was at 198 Total Yards.

CPF is right but 460 splits toward Grundy in Richlands so follow 19 down just past Lebanon about 6 or 7 miles bear right on 58/Alt460 toward Castlewood/Norton for about 4 or 5 mile turn left on 71 Gate City sign go about 31 miles take a left just past the Thriftway market you can't miss it from there.

I have been waiting on someone to give the real reason why all the complaining regarding cheerleaders, people walking the track and GC fans on the visitor side. Well here is the real downlow. Tazewell has been running their mouth on this board on how good they where ( no dis-respect intended ). They come to the Legion Field and got hammered. GC did sub in for 2 series but after Tazewell decided they were not ready to give in and put their subs in, GC decided to put their starters back in and with that discussion cause GC to put 52 points on the board. It all boils down to Tazewell was embarrassed and with how they were talking about being world beaters after the GW game or at least on this board. I went on Coach T. com after the South ball game & they had nothing but good things to say about GC’s facility and atmosphere and fans. The fans were crammed 6 rows deep on the track – all the way around. (Where do you think their cheerleader were? The field). They did not complain because they smacked GC in the mouth. They had no reason to complain. I am sure they are some stupid GC fans that seem to come out of the woodwork and rubbed salt in the already wounded sprit of the Tazewell fans or cheerleaders, I don’t know I was on the top row so I did not see it. Every school has idiots like that, do I condone it – no. I am former GC player from the late 80’s & we were taught to win with class and lose with class as a team. Tazewell – I am sure has a good team and GC caught them on a night that everything worked for GC and it just streamed rolled all night. As to the cheerleaders being on the field well that is the way it as always been & at most schools it is no different. So you can put your big girl panties on and deal with it or don’t come. The GC fans that stand & watch the game from the fence well that is their choice most of the time. We few GC fans on this board have no control over it. Complaining on this board is BS ---If someone says something you feel is out of line then man up and confront that person and let them know how you feel. If you don’t feel man enough to confront them speak to one of dozen police officers surrounding Legion Field. This is a sports message board ---lets talk football. BTW the game was over 3 weeks ago. GC has Appy this week. Moving on!!!!!!!

I know GC girls cheer on the field at every game not just at GC. I see alot of college games they all cheer on the field. Where do the girls cheer at other schools? I noticed Lebanon cheer on the field. I know what the complaining is all about. The real reason Does anyone else? It has nothing to do with cheerleading or being on the track. I would say the real reason will be revealed but by who?

There where 4000 more people at the South Game at GC and their cheerleader went inside the fence just like ever team that plays GC. No problems for 70 years, so i think this is sad and real stupid at the same time. One would ASSume they would realize where they are to cheer at a game & if not, just look over at the GC cheerleaders and follow there lead. If this is the case and they elect not to play GC anymore well that is just plain silly and stupid. LOL This has to be a joke.....

Lance you seem to be the ring leader that caused most of the garbage. Why as administrator of this board would you call another poster a (low class red neck)? I would like to point out that GC beat Richlands by 3 points and they are a class act afterward on this board. GC completely destroys Tazewell in just about every phase of the game and all we here is your big trap saying that if the ref had not seen that obvious holding call Tazewell would have ran rough shot over GC. To hear you tell it GC was very lucky win period. All I can say is good luck, I hope you stay one step ahead of the DEA. Hey Lance at your point of view how many sustained drives did Tazewell have? Lance to complain about the Refs why did GC have more penalty yards called on them? Comparing total yards of offense Tazewell 197 GC 499 ----if’s and but’s where candy and nut what merry Christmas you would have.
