Rank the opponents on your team's schedule...

James Monroe's Schedule: 1. Bluefield - They are Bluefield, enough said. Too much speed, talent, and experience coming back. 2. Shady Spring - Very good last year, much better this year. Why has there been talk of them folding? Did they pack it in last year? Not against us. 3. Oak Hill - They lose a lot of key skill, but have athletes most us wish we had. 4. Greenbrier East - I know surprise pick. New coach, but the talent is there for the taking. Had decent teams in the 90's. 5. Wyoming East - They cannot be as bad as they were last year. They had a very good receiver. Word has it they have a good group of 9/10th graders. 6. Point Pleasant - Mediocre year last year at best. Should be mediocre or better this year? 7. Liberty-Raleigh - Good records for 2 years, but playoff blowouts for 2 years in a row. Don't know muchbout them, but historically they are a below average team. 8. Pikeview - Pitful the last four years, may be getting a little bit better. 9. Summers County - Poor the last 2 years, be even worse this year. 10. Narrows - Not impressed last year, won't be any better this year. Possible losses: Bluefield, Shady Definate Wins: Wyoming East, Greenbrier East, Point Pleasant, Pikeview, Liberty, Summers, Narrows. I see 7-3, Oak Hill will be a probable victory as well. 7-3 to 10-0 season. With this schedule we are definately in the playoffs! -
Shadyfan or footballfreak... Looking at Shady's schedule, what games look like sure wins, sure losses, and toss up games?

1. James Monroe- More talent this year than most AAA. 2. Bluefield- Only loss will be to James Monroe. 3. Weir- Saw first hand the talent they have at their game against Bluefield. 4. Wayne- Should have beaten Westside if they could just hold onto the ball. 5. Poca- Rebuilding? Or reloading? 6. Mt. View- Could be a top 5 AAA team if they decided to play. 7. Shady Spring- Usually strong team, but seem quiet on the weightroom chatter this year? 8. Scott- Losing a lot, but will be strong and talented. 9. Tolsia- Will narrowly miss a home playoff game, but will be there nonetheless. 10.Herbert Hoover- Lose a little too much, but still more than others. 11.Frankfort- I don't think the talent they have coming back is as good as last year's talent? 12.Tyler Consolidated- Speed with no line means a busy trainer! 13.Westside- Will win 7 maybe 8 games. 14.Keyser- Better than the rest of AA left. 15.Sherman- Had a solid team last year, not losing much of it. 16.Wyoming East- You heard it here first, they make the playoffs this year. CLOSE: Clay, Ravenswood, Grafton, Winfield, Chapmanville, Oak Hill. SERIOUSLY FAR AWAY FROM BEING DECENT: Independence, Summers County, Liberty, and Richwood

Didn't Shady usually hold a "coafield Conference" meet? As pitiful as Liberty is in football, a weight program could only help. Just seems like an oddball location is all.

Since when did the conference hold a weightlifting event? Anyone actually going to Liberty to compete in weightlifting? Why isn't it held in Bluefield or Princeton or somewhere more accessible?
