  9. [ QUOTE ] Kaleb was teched 18-2 for 7th. [/ QUOTE ] Teched? Tough way for the kid to end his career...
  10. Here is a link to the brackets... http://bluedemonwrestling.com/AA%20brackets.htm They're upto date following the semi's.
  11. [ QUOTE ] oh i graduate next year haha. how do u thinkg grundy is doing in the team standings [/ QUOTE ] Most likely, 2nd. Grundy can't get the W @ 103....and they'll have a hard time beating Rakes @ 152. Next year is the year.
  12. [ QUOTE ] haha i forgot about little bear haha how could i forget about him lol hes like the best one on the team lol my bad. do u go to grundy high?? [/ QUOTE ] Graduated from Grundy, bud.
  13. [ QUOTE ] ok thanks. and who is the 4th going for gold?? i know of 3 [/ QUOTE ] Ethan Owens, dude.
  14. [ QUOTE ] Where in my quote did I mention anyone as player of the year? I simply replied to your comment about Mulkey's versatility. Vouch for whoever floats your fancy, but I will go on the record and vouch for Mulkey. The thing that puzzles me is: How did you read and quote my post and give a reply like you did? Here it is again for you to ponder: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ME: "If Mulkey is a trick pony and only has a jump shot(which I might add is the best in the SWD), then he gets the Blue ribbon!!! You wanna talk about versatility, take away Billiters snowbirds and he's a three legged horse headed to the glue factory." ----------------------- Udericky: Did I vouch for Billiter as player of the year? Let me guess, If I said tomato, I bet the first thing that comes to your mind is BOWLING SHOES! [/ QUOTE ] Because, the conversation in this thread consisted of the battle between Billiter and Mulkey for P.O.Y.. I wouldn't question my intelligence... If you think Mulkey is a versatile ball player...then you haven't watched much basketball in your day. Anyone can put up 20 a game when they're goin 8-33 from the field..and taking every shot down the court. Shooter, my ass.
  15. [ QUOTE ] If Mulkey is a trick pony and only has a jump shot(which I might add is the best in the SWD), then he gets the Blue ribbon!!! You wanna talk about versatility, take away Billiters snowbirds and he's a three legged horse headed to the glue factory. [/ QUOTE ] Did I vouch for Billiter as player of the year?
  16. [ QUOTE ] jj redick didnt have versitility....and he did alright in college [/ QUOTE ] Please tell me you're not comparing Mulkey to J.J. Redick? Did you watch Redick in high school?
  17. [ QUOTE ] I think the "gimmick" defenses are because of the talent around him. The lack of a threat around him allows teams to do that. [/ QUOTE ] Exactly....he's a one tricky pony, as well. Everytime I've watched him this year...its been nothing but jump shot after jump shot. Talk about versatility.
  18. [ QUOTE ] Kentucky and South Florida in the Top 10 are over rated at this point in the season, in my opinion. Kentucky will end up with four losses in the SEC. South Florida, looking at their schedule, could lose one, maybe two games before all is said and done. However, if they do win out they deserve to be a Top 5 team. [/ QUOTE ] Have you watched KY more than once to come up with that statement? If they beat USC this weekend...anything with that team is possisble. They have as much talent on the offensive side of the ball (skill positions) as any team in the conference. The defense, which cost them at least 2 games last year is improved. They gave up 13 offensive points to Arkansas, whom is averaging over 45 points a game. Woodson, Burton, Little, Tamme, Johnson, Dixon, Lyons, Smith and Locke are all SEC-caliber at the skill position. The rest of their schedule...could play out as so.. UK vs. USC-Toss UP LSU-Loss UF-Toss UP Miss St-Win Vandy-Win UGA-Toss Up UT-Win Sure, the possiblity of 8-4 is there...but so is the possibility of an SEC East title. I'm as familiar with the SEC as anyone...and I can tell you...that UK matches up and can score enough points to beat any team not named LSU. The only possibility of and upset of LSU..would be them coming in flat..us coming in at 6-0..and gameday at UK....and UK completely playing over their heads. LSU is just that good.
  19. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] and ky is expected to contend for the no offense sec this year... [/ QUOTE ] Ummm, yeh, just ahead of Vandy, Ole Miss, and Mississippi St. There are at least eight teams in the SEC better than Kentucky...and that's with Georgia, Auburn, and Tennessee having "down" years... [/ QUOTE ] actually several publications had them contending for the SEC east [/ QUOTE ] Name one that's legitimate... [/ QUOTE ] I was at the game..and 30 years of futility just went out the window..this was a huge win for the CATS! Right now...we're playing as well as anyone in the conference not named LSU or Florida.
  20. RIP Coach. He was a great coach and even better person. He could almost make a loss to Haysi tolerable when I was at Grundy.
  21. [ QUOTE ] Oh, I wasnt bashing anybody....I was just saying that I am doubting many people know who won the Music City Bowl 6 years ago....lol [/ QUOTE ] I'll be able to tell you that Kentucky won it 6 years from now in the year 2012. You can guarantee that, Tigh. lol
  22. [ QUOTE ] I agree.. Goodman is an excellent coach.. and if underricky is who i think.. He was an excellent player also.. another thing is i suspect bballfan is not from richlands either!! lol ta ta [/ QUOTE ] I doubt that he ever played against a Goodman coached team, as well. His lame attempts at being witty have been rather entertaining, though. Apparently, he has a weird fascination with the rainbow and I was nothing more than a benchwarmer. lol
  23. [ QUOTE ] To be naive, wouldn't one have to prove himself before one could be labeled one of the best. Give any coach a team with that much talent, and I don't care how bad the coaching is, and he would have a difficult time losing games. Your quote "Sure he had solid talent over the years, but the system that was run there was perfect" that system you are referring to "was once again already in place". Hate to be the pin to your ballon, but facts are facts and until then "show pony". The real "race horse" is the one that takes a sub-par program and gives it the 360 turn around and doesn't have fans posting about his coaching ability. I can see you were affected by the flash from those photos last week. Give it a few more days and you will see it much clearer until then I'll get back to my RC and moonpie. [/ QUOTE ] You can keep telling yourself that over and over and attempt to insult me...thats fine. I witnessed it first hand and played against that system. There was just as much talent on the haysi and grundy teams during those years that graced the floor at council. Coaching makes a huge difference and Rick Goodman is a good one.
  24. [ QUOTE ] It seems like Goodman likes to run where there is some talent ie(Cobra's and the Panthers). Hey, if they want him as head Coach, then lets see Goodman do any better. How much coaching did he have to do at the Cobra Den? That team was there long before he came, he was a product of those boy's! That team was being coached and put together long before he went there. The well started to go dry and he flew the coop. I would like to see him get a sub-par program and see if he could turn it around, Moore did it. Your right their are a lot of programs that would like to have Moore as a coach, so let him go TV and see if he doesn't show up to burn you with another local team!!!! The key is to "Recognize" what you have and not "Realize" what you have lost!!!!! [/ QUOTE ] Rick Goodman is one of the best coaches SWVA has ever seen. Sure he had solid talent over the years, but the system that was run there was perfect. Goodman was not a product of his players and to even say that is naive, at best.
