  1. how many people in swva even have a soccer team? lol. i know that grundy certainly dosent. i dont even know if anyone in the swd has one.
  2. truely a great game. at the half, grundy was ahead 23-21, at the end of the third quarter, Garret Horn for Twin Valley hit a huge three from almost half quart with time expireing, which gave the momentium to Twin Valley.but, in the end grundy's press and great fastbreak was what beat Twin Valley by 8.
  3. grundy had to beat the Honaker Tigers with just 7 people able to play in OT. Theo Justus, Heath Justus, and Aaron Church all fouled out. They called bad calls all night long, but grundy was still able to pull it out in OT last night. great game to watch, just not alot of good calls. good win for grundy and will hopefully get them back on their feet. good luck wave.
  4. i play for bbf 6th and 7th and it is truly awesome. we are currently 18-0 and have won 5 tournaments. what they do over there every year is amazing and they all make you give 110%. great program that has really brought Twin Valley a long way.
  5. him and logan shortridge are both great ballplayers. in my mind it would be one of those two from twin valley, Theo from grundy, colley from haysi, or barton from council, just cause they are all great ballplayers and all have a shot at it.
  6. the biggest showdown of the year for A. #1 in the state Twin Valley hosting #4 in state Twin Springs. it was a great game all night long. but in the end, free-throws and layups were the most important part of the game. Twin Valley missed about 15 free-throws and alot of layups. but, the most surprising thing was that they had a 1-3-1-1 press that never worked, but they never got out of it. Twin Springs walked away with the win lastnight as #22 scored 34 as the game and team leading scorer.
  7. who would be your choice for SWD player of the year. i would have to say theo justus, he is averaging almost 20 points per game. and he is helping grundy to a shot at the district title. had 40 tonight against Richlands. shot one about 5 feet away from 3- line on just his second shot and made it. he would be who i would say to win it. what is your choice?
  8. who would you start on the east and west game in Denver, Colorado. here is my pick: East: PG- Steve Francis SG- LeBron James SF- Vince Carter PF- Rasheed Wallace C- Shaquille O'Neal BN: PG- Dwane Wade West: PG- Steve Nash SG- Kobe Bryant SF- Amare Staudomire PF- Tim Duncan C- Yao Ming Score: West- 97 East- 79
  9. was Brad Nuckles a center or power forward. i cant remember but i know that he was good. and Ben Looney was a great player. but that is all i can think of.
  10. auburn will kill VT. Carnell "Cadillac" Williams and Ronnie Brown will run over Taper or whatever the linebackers name is. Auburn deserves a shot at the national title. they were downright awsome. i say Auburn in a blowout 35-7.
  11. should be a great week of basketaball in bristol at Viking Hall. if anyone wants to come, tickets are only 5.00, which is great considering that there is going to be some teams from germany, and last puerto rico that had a seven foot three guy that went pro. White station also had a kid that went pro. the best night will probably be tuesday night, just because all of the worst teams will already be eliminated. i will only be able to make a couple of days because of basketball practice, but i will go as much as possible. come over and enjoy all the fun at Viking Hall in Bristol.
  12. first of all, being his cousin i should know where he is goin. he got a book that said "why wait now, you could lose up to 6.5 million dollars on his contract." so, i dont know whether he will go or stay. he dosent say much of nothing, but i dont think he will stay because he could lose up to 6.5 million. second of all, it said how many teams need a tight end. the top three were Washington Redskins, San Deigo Chargers (Gates is a free-agent), and the other one i cant remember. he has a great chance at starting as a rookie which would be great.also, someone, said on the news that he was staying. but, you cant always beleive the news.lol. so, i think he will go pro instead of staying.
  13. no one is not even sure if he will go pro. in the book that you get when you walk in the door at the game against Miami, he said he was goin to stay. so, hopefully he goes and dosent risk getting injured. anyways i give him all my appreciation and luck throughout his career. a great quarterback turns into a great tight end, that is weird. ------------------------- Go UVA! MPC computers bowl (could have got better) Go #89 Heath Miller: 1 team all-american and Mackey award winner.
  14. if anyone here could tell me who won the grundy game tonight it would help lots. and i just found out the score for the J.V. good start, now just keep it up. Good luck grundy jv and varsity!
  15. grundy isnt down much but will have to really step it up to win the district, which would be hard. i think that the guards will be a huge part of succsess for the Lady Wave. They have a talented point and a good small forward. dont know lots about them, but should be a close season for the girls and boys swd.
  16. the one thing i dont get is: Why call a technical for trying to draw the charge? i think that is stupid, i was told by a ref earlier in the year, but it dont make lots of sense. i will see at Grundy's game tonight and dont forget JV plays at 6:00 and Varsity plays at 7:00
  17. i think it is wrong for two reasons: 1) Richlands has the depth and talent to beat salem, especially at home. 2) Gretna may actually beat Tazewell worse than that it is picked. i say Gretna 63-13. they are awsome and should win another state title.
  18. i went to the Honaker state game a few years ago. it is a great field. and i think that everyone will like the nice stadium. i like the turf, but if you get a team that is alot faster than you, you are messed up. good luck Richlands!
  19. yeah, great work by G-man and all the other helpers. thanks for taking time off your hands to giving all of us a great site to talk about football. this is in my opinion the best sports site i have ever been to. keep up the awsome work and see yall' again next season.
  20. you guys shouldnt have even made the playoffs this year. i am glad yall' lost when you did. state champs? now that is one sick joke.
  21. that is why he isnt at UVA right now.
  22. think about it: Bluefield beat Graham, Tazewell beat Graham twice, and Tazewell killed Va High. and Grundy beat Tazewell and Va High. So i think that Bluefield would beat Va. High.
  23. are you really crazy? Gretna is the best team i have seen play and Vic Hall is really signed for UVA next year. and christiansburg isnt a slouch or just a blowover. Christiansburg is a tough team that upset salem. and could have been the other team to win state if Gretna didnt beat them and probably win state. that being said if gretna is a joke then they are not a good one. my prediction is: Gretna-56 Tazewell-7
  24. well, like you said Zach Miller was on target all night and even got a couple of long runs of draw. If Brad Robins is anywhere near as good as he is supposed to be then Powell Valley will tear Giles apart through the air. The Giles secendary just aint' good at all. they will need alot of good luck and long runs against the Vikings. good luck Giles. ------------------------------ Go UVA! Go #89- Mackey Award Finalist Heath Miller
