YOU HAVE GOT TO BE JOKING,RIGHT? Its only about 5-miles either way from my house to hurley or grundy. Its not like there an hour drive between them lol. why couldnt 100.7 have the game on it they have had hurley games on there before ,Allthough its been a while but niether the less they have coverd hurley football before.

HURLEY could be a #2 team in the bdd even a #1 it all depends on if eric may can stay out of foul trouble or not, the games that MAY stays out off foul rouble they look good but when he sets on the bench there whole offencive skeem goes out the window it makes them a jump shooting team.And another thing going for hurley is a new coach that realy nows the game of basketball(the new game) not the game from 20 years ago and so far it has seemed to help them on defence and offence. dont get me wrong baldwin from TV is big but he wasnt nore will he be the leading scorer in the bdd he is a primary defenceive player hes not going to put up big points every night. BUT as for now i would say it is #1 HAYSI because there point gaurd is better than #2 HURLEY because of ERIC MAY #TV because of BALDWIN rembember how many players they lost from a year ago.#3 HONAKER and #4 COUNCIL there just to young right now.

who would you like to see coach or at least help coach your schools team. Are there any prospects that arent getting a chance to improve a program that could use it ?

And the hurley pep. have alot of weapons in there voices if they would just use them,But I will back up any of hurleys players if needed and no im not thinking that Im big and bad but for the pep. who know me they will tell you I will not start anything but I damn sure wont take it either!!!!

You know thats what gets under my skin about the most of you guys from grundy!You judge everyone from hurley for what a few peps. done at some ball game, that is one of the most ungodly things that you can say about someone I mean its stupid. you guys have players on the varsity team that live and are from hurley. As far as hurley being in the same county, well I dont want to bring politics in this but if all those business men from grundy hadnt took all those millions from the peps. at hurley then maybe hurley would be a more pleasnt place to live.And another thing HURLEY makes up over half the square miles in this county and population.And maybe you think that this is just fun and games ,making fun of other pep. if it is you need to grow up because in life you reep what you sow this may come bac to bite ypu in the butt some day!SO I will leave you with this to think about being prejudice is not allways black-or white, in some peoples eyes its who you are and where you come from.This is not the stone age and the last time I looked grundy and hurley pep. all walk erect.And in the great words of ABBRAHAM LINCOLN (ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL). I will agree with one thing you should have fun but not at the risk of making someone else mad enough to want to kick your butt. AND I say this to all the HURLEY fans step up to the plate and do what this guys talking about make some racket ,scream,yell be as load as you can if it picks up your team then do it. I went TO all but one hurley football game and the fan support was so bad that I would get mad sometimes because you would only have a few parent fans cheering for them. Just look at hurleys homecomeing game a packed house and all most the whole game it was as quiet as a mouse its all about spirt and there is very little in the hurley students anymore .So I issue a chalenge bring a friend,a brother,mom,dad anybody you can drag out to the next game and make some noise and watch hurleys basketball clubs ejoy there high school lives alot better and to give them the peace of mind in knowing there fans are behind them 100% of the time not just on a band wagon. I dont know if you where one of rifes raiders, but if you are then you just told a big lie there was no players or fans going after you guys if there had been anybody going after you guys you wouldnt be talking all this smack. I was there and there were a few times fans thought you guys where pointting fingers at some fans, as to if you had something more to say about them. And in all honesty i think it is great that you kids get behind your team that is what you should do,but dont go saying stuff like when hurley gets a good program the fans will have something to cheer about because if you were aat the same game then you would have seen HURLEY lead most of the game. So please save the bragin for some other time because if your a 2AA school and you can only say you pulled out a win against HURLEY,a 1A school with no fan support and only 8 players and very little experience then your in for a rude awakening when you come up against grund,tazwell,etc....And hurley has nothing to hang there heads about nobody gave them a chance to even be in that game including myself. but I said all along that if they play good -D- they could win that game and thats what it came down to they just got tierd .And it didnt help there efforts any that micro machine ref. called every thing against HURLEY he might have well just took off the black and white strips and put on a blue richlands shirt! RESPECT-- TO show consideration to another. That is what I mean about the signs and I have seen the signs they had them at the HURLEY game MONDAY. and the refs. didnt get a kick out of them. LET me ask you what you would do if someone held a sign up at yur work place that said you where doing your job wrong or bad would you get aa kick out of it of corse not you would be upset. And i know its all about fun right but you guys that thinks its funny to hold up a sign that says bad call or good call better think about what happens to a player when they argue the refs. call.Thats right to much attiude gets you a -T- but why should it be if you can hold up your opinion in the stands and nothing is said why should a ref get mad a kid for doing it vocaly on the floor. he has a point in what he is sayingif youlet this stuff go why not let fans stand up and ell at a ref and go on the floor to tell him hes stupid or dumb I mean thats what the sign is saying right just a little fun from the crowd can cost your team a -T- but hold up a sign and its fine now how long do you think this will last as soon as a ref calls a call and they hold up these signs and he thinks for a momment that his call made the difference in the game and all those signs are waving and crowd starts to get mad at him hes not going to like that everyone is wanting to kick his butt is. have you ever ref. a game i have and it is fun but at the same time harder than you think and there is alot of presure on the ref. to make all the right calls and when you have got a fan in the stand holding a sign that says bad call,well why not just scream you suck ref. it shows the same inhuman ways that the guy that threw the beer at arrtest that started that whole mess so should the fans be banned to?

hurley sure aims to please and let peps. get there money worth.in a close game that i thought should have been a blow out for hurley became a close one do to the 3 point shotting of number 12 from erivington but it didnt help that hurley played slow all night on defence not getting to the shotters quick enough and missing alot of point blank lay-ups but the layup stuff will be fine its the start of a season so that will get better but the defence is something that has to be worked on now you have got to get in a hot shotters face and let each other know were he is all the time you have got to talk to each other on the court thats why thay call it a team game no one person can guard all 5 men but all in all hurley looks better than alot of peps. would think .the game went into overtime tied at 40 all number 12 hit a 3 with one second remaining when dustin call a time out that hurley did not have any of !or did they? wait a momment the ref. said you guys at the tabel told me that hurley had no time outs left but now thay have a magical one that is on both books. yes mr. ref there was one more, peps. make mistakes as you did all night in the way you called some of your calls but never the less hurley gets the ball with 1.0 on the clock they inbound the ball dustin slangs a three pointer from 60 feet away gets hit on the arm makes the 3 and his foul shot game over!#$%@!#$?NO JUST KIDDING he missed it the game did go into O.T but it was a slow 5th quarter fouls walks bad calls man i love this time of year EVERY BODY KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS YOUVE GOT ALOT OF HEART JUST KEEP PLAYING TOGETHER AS ATEAM AND MAYBE YOU GUYS CAN OPEN SOME EYES IN TH B.D.D JUST REMEMBER THE TRUE HURLEY FANS HAVE GOT YOUR BACKS!! well let me start by saying im sorry if i mad any of you mad but you guys realy dont know what the difference between a good coach and a great coach . coach horne was a good teacher of the game a long time ago but in my eyes he has never been a great coach and as far as the region D crown that he brought to hurley well let me say this do you guys remember a guy by the name of roger rife he had as much to do with that title as horne he got those guys ready for that year a year earlier i know because i was there to see it for myself and no i dont have a grudge against coach horne hes a great person just not a great coach theres a old saying good players can win you games win there on top of the game, good coaches can win games win good players are at there worst and thats true just play enough ball and youll see what im talking about or just watch enough ball its all on how you look at it and there is a difference between a coach and a teacher in the game of basketball and for those who know what im talking about its just like any skill you have to first be tought how to do it before you can master it.

ive got some first hand info for you, if theo thought for a moment that he might have had a chance of a better basketball career at hurley he would have stayed here his dad wouldnt have let him went to grundy but as i said in my post its all about who and for what kind of coach you want to play for im not saying that stretch is any better but he cant be that bad after all hes one of the only players to have played at hurley that didnt have to play for horne so dont thrash a guy for doing better for himself. and yes i know him very well and have been part of hurley sports for long time and the prob. does start in little league were the kids do not have the right coaches and help they need these kids dont even have a place to practice ball like grundy feader schools have we dont have a gym for basketball ,i mean when i was a kid i used to have to push snow out of the way at what ever court i could find just so i could play but the kids at grundy have alot to look forward to thay have the gyms the, fields the parents backing them taking them to practice without all the grip. its just now getting back to where the parents are getting back envolved with there kids at hurley i mean you are allways going to have a few but its becoming more heart warming to see a kid go on the court after a game and give his parents a hug and not have to wait till he or she gets home the parrents are there for there kids now. like theos dad was for him

i would have to agree with you the refs. were awful!! im the loud mouth fan that never sets down or stops yelling at the refs.and i have to say my voice was pretty sore this morning it was 3 good qrts.for hurley that again was out man but didnt stop them from over coming the refs,bad field,and the lack of fan support i would love to see more fans come to these games even thou there a few fans at the game its almost like there not there for support of the whole game but just when the team does good but you can count on me to be at the E.rebels game for a little pay back from last year when we were the host and had to endure those redneck fans that cheered when one of the hurley players got hurt its time to stand and show just who the real rebel team is and dont let up for nothing. so with all that said here is a little saying for the refs that serf here(when i get blind and i cant see i want to be a refere;) GO REBELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for your support but i think you need to pull for all the schools in the BDD were a small district so its hard for us to keep eyes open so if we all come together in support for each others teams unless were playing each other lol.we could make it harder on any team that wants to play a BDD team i would love to see grundy have the guts or the#*%#*!!!!if you know what i mean? to play some teams like honaker,haysi or even hurley if they had a few more kids on there team so keep it in mind and go REBS.!!!!!!!!!!!!

the great tester is right scammell couldnt hold a light to him and if you would think about im sure you would agree or is to much to ask to tell the truth. i have a answer for you what has scammell done since grundy let me answer that for you nothing as for greg how many times have you seen him in the paper for doing what he does best playing football and im not taking anything from scammell he was a good back but if you ask 10 coaches in the county how they thought is or was better hed say greg tester he continues to amaze watchers with his strength and size and i do agree grundy has a much better school not all around though maybe if you take away there bigest sport i think its called (BOYS IN TIGHTS)LOL. they wouldnt be so popular other than that the 2 schools are not so different maybe better teachers and how about stretch mounts you guys still loving him lol. keep it real!!!
