Ah come on Lance is that what this website is about.....just to tell everyone Hurley people are redneck. Seems to me the only thing you have to talk about is bashing Hurley. Im sorry son but in the 80's and early 90's grundy hardly ever beat hurley in football. You take Theo and Sephan off that team waht do you have; Marcum and thats it. then where does grundy finish maybe 5-5. If it wasnt for hurley Grundy wouldnt have a team either. They try to influence the kids and tell them they have better opportunity for college by playing at grundy. Pleas tell me how? Where has anyone from Grundy went? The only one was LUke and it was because of his name in wrestling. Even this year a Grundy coach has approached a hurley player and tried to get them to come over next year. So you better be thankful hurley is your neighbor so you can reach the playoffs. Oh I guess Grundy dont have any rednecks huh?

I dont know what you all are smoking but the toughest district in the area and probably the state is the LPD. They always produce a state champion and sometimes 2 state champs. PV and gate city could pb beat anybody in the swd and gate city already beat richlands. Burton and clintwood are tough too.....played gate city within 10 points. These are single A teams we are talking about too. Here is how i would rank: 1LPD 2SWD 3Hog 4BDD 5HIghlands 6cumberland

I just want to say that is a big statement by comparing Marcum to the jones brothes.....Thomas had 3000 yards rushing his junior season.... 2500 his senior season...Julius had maybe 2000....Ive seen them play and really they are not even comparable....I dont think Marcum is the best back to come out of grundy more les SWVA. His numbers is not as good as Scammel or perkins, mor less the Jones brothers....There's not as many good backs around like there has been in previous years. But i will give him credit he may be the best around this year. about 5 or 6 years ago he wouldnt even be in the top five....He is still a heck of a ballplayer.
