I thought I saw the glistening of a large puddle as I drove by the school on the fourlane, but It could've been on the baseball field, I just glanced. I must've rained hard somewhere last night because my creek had risen this a.m. I didn't hear it.

From what I've read on VA preps, Salem seems to be looking past Richlands, to the state final game. That tells me that they think SWfootball is inferior and is something to look over. I hope we can play 4 hard hitting quarters of football and send them home with their tails between their legs.!!!

One word to you BHSfan... PHOOEY..... We have people that post on this board who are volunteers to help with the field. Ask them if the field was watered down for the game! I can answer before they even tell you ....IT WASN'T. RHS....Let's focus on Salem next week, Instead of the crying about the last game!!!!!!!!!!!!

I noticed they announced that Salem will most likely contest having the RHS/Salem game at our field. Exactly what will they contest and what will we have to do to our field to meet state requirements?

How many other folks here have lost their voices tonight because of the storm. What about those fans. I think we took up the slack for the band!!! Great job boys! It's great to see 4 quarters of aggressive football!!! Next victim Salem!

Guess it just frustrates me because I'm one of the people that have to work a 5 day week and really need my vacation time for other things, like vacation. But I'm just one person. I'm sure there are many others this time frame would work for. whiner whiner I know. I'll go ahead and call myself that before anyone else has a chance

Hey, Don't knock the band. I hear about how grueling their practices are. I wonder how the crowd's momentum will be without the RHS band there Friday night!!!

Is it right that they are thinking of having the Richlands/Bassett game at 1:30 on Friday? Just wondering what made this time an option. Seems more reasonable to have it in the regular 7:30 time slot...?

I have to disagree tater. I have heard others say Richlands just didn't get up for the past few games because of who they were playing. I sat in the stands and watched the sidelines against VHS and the whole team just stood there time and again when VHS scored. No one got angry or fired up until the fourth when the crowd began to get angry at a few calls, and rocked the stands. I believe that if you have any chance for state contention, (and I think Richlands is capable), you should be up for every game with total domination. You should make people scared of even getting on the field with you. RHS could and should be powerhouses with even the teams that don't contend. Ok now im off my soapbox...RHS 28 CC 7

If Richlands plays in other games like they did tonight in the 2nd, 3rd and 1/2 of the 4th quarters they are in trouble. I am a huge rhs fan but it was nasty. No heart or fire on the field tonight except for the first quarter and the 4th after the last 12 min.
