  1. this year the liberty bowl features the #7 and #10 teams in the AP poll (louisville and boise state respectively), which is combined a little better than both the rose bowl (#6 texas and #13 michigan) and the fiesta bowl (#5 utah and #19 pittsburgh). i'd say it's overlooked annually because unlike the rest of those good non-bcs bowls (gator, capital one, outback, cotton, etc.) it has two non-bcs conference affiliations - usually the conference usa champion plays the mountain west champion. the bcs is adding another bowl game (i forget if it's next year or the year after), so this is a pretty important subject.
  2. the spurs - wake forest grad tim duncan is a class act, and you never hear anything bad about anyone else on this team (cough cough kobe bryant, karl malone, shaquille o'neal, ron artest, latrell spreewell) i also still follow the bulls, who won their third straight game tonight over the fan-friendly indiana pacers.
  3. [ QUOTE ] bla bla bla bla cheers. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] very ugly....rapidly. [/ QUOTE ] really?
  4. i won't concede what i believe or elaborate on why i believe it, but i will concede that neither one of us is going to change the other's mind. cheers
  5. to be fair, i'm pretty sure no one in this thread is a woman. nor (i would wager) has anyone in this thread been raped into a pregnancy. yeah, there's some conflict of interests involved in giving peterson a double-murder and supporting a woman's right to choose at the same time. there's also a conflict of interests involved when men (as the vast majority of politicians and judges are men) try to affect laws pertaining to a subject that, by and large, has little to do with them. not trying to stir anything up. just offering an opposing view. also, the way people on this board like to argue so much about something so inconsequential (not a knock) as sports, i foresee a raging flame war in this thread's future.
  6. band thread? uh oh. be careful.
  7. last word? score! thanks. it's been a distinct pleasure.
  8. i wasn't trying to impress anyone; if i had wanted to do that, i'd have chosen a thread that was being read by more than just you and i at this point. i'm just trying to convince you how insignificant your type is. sorry if my puke came off as impressive to you.
  9. you're all the same (i.e., "internet tough guys"). you ardently hold your ground as if you were actually justified in being a jackass. then when somebody proves to you that you're being a jackass (in this case, by mocking band in a thread created about...band), you try to play the innocence card. it's really easy to say "gorsh, i reckon i was just kiddin'" when it's not your dignity that's being compromised. i guess it's pretty easy to keep your dignity secure when you're hiding. and thanks, i do feel a lot better about myself after meeting the likes of you. no time wasted on my behalf.
  10. i'm not in the band, but if i were i wouldn't be touchy about it. congratulations for hiding behind a veil of anonymity, mister internet tough guy. the internet is, after all, very serious business. i graduated from richlands two years ago. i was in the band. i'd do it again. i'd also guarantee that the band program consistently turns out better people than any other organization at richlands high school. so what have you done with your life, internet tough guy? made fun of some high school kids for doing something they enjoy, despite what a bunch of chest-beating apes like you might think? they have the balls to do it and not care. you have the balls to not do anything remotely difficult for fear of ridicule. so congratulations again, and i hope that whatever it is that you're contributing to the world is something that you're not too ashamed of. i know you're probably pretty proud of using amazingly unique and terribly archaic words like shall to try to impress the INTERNET!!!!!!!
  11. HAHAHA BANDCAMP LOLMAO!!~~111 HAHA TUBA FLUTE HAHA BAND ROFL! that movie american pie though. what a gem. a real cinematic masterpiece. but YOU! you fine fine specimen of a human being, you. your ingenuity...your amazing ability to just exude cleverness. honestly. i salute your sheer comic genius! i mean...feather? tuba!? how could one person think of both of those clever insights into the lowly lowly (read: ) life of a high schooler in marching band. you, sir, are the voice of a movement. kudos. oh, and hi DARRIN LOWE.
  12. so this is a joke, right? like satire or something? you win the prize!
  13. [ QUOTE ] ...I think the game might have had a different outcome had the field not "obviously" been watered down before the game to control Bassett's speed and footing. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Whether or not Richlands did it or not I don't know. [/ QUOTE ] oh, okay. thank you for your clearly directed insight. your opinion is valuable to us!
