I'm pretty sure Lebanon has a soccer team. I'm almost positive I remember playing them last year, but I could be wrong. I might be thinking of Marion.

There's also some other teams around the area: Marion, Narrows, Lebanon, Abingdon, and Virginia High to name a few. VA High has been a dominant force in soccer in southwest Va and northeast Tennessee for the past 20 years.

Thats what 9th grade is for. Besides, most 8th graders aren't mature enough for high school. Most teachers agree with that. Even though there's just a year's in between them there is still a little bit of a difference. I think it's definitely better to keep the 8th grade down. I'll be a senior next year and if they moved them up I wouldn't know who to pick on. But... I would have twice the people to pick on. Well, now that I think about....

I posted a week or so ago that Jodi Fuller might be taking over as head coach next year for the blues, but he won't be able to do it. He's working two jobs and starting his own business so he won't have the time. But I've heard that Jim McGee, who's assistant coach now, will be taking over; he's no Fuller, but he's better than Rife. Remember this is all word-of-mouth though, this could be BS, so don't take it to town.

Plans to move the 8th up are a "no-go", at least for this year. The committee that had planned this decided that it was not feasible at this time.

Fine... no Beatles. But I will be damned all to hell if there's no beans on toast. But seriously, it'd be great to see some soccer talk on here. Even though Frank and I might be the only ones doin' the talking, we would talk the hell out of it.
