To the Graham comment: show us something in the tournament and I will rank you higher. But I believe Abingdon will beat you tonight. And for GW, They are in an easy district but that is not their fault. I have seen them play and they are a good team and they could be put into the great team status. if they do well in the post season. Their GK is the best I have seen in about five years. They also have a strong core of players on the field that really works good together. Good Luck to all in the playoffs and Carroll bring home the win tonight.

This is what I have found out about the coin toss. It is not a coin toss now it is another type of system now and Carroll as long as they win tomorrow will have the tie breaker with Graham. So as long as Carroll beats Grundy then they will finish 3rd. The SWD tourney is wide open this year and should be fun to watch.

swva tourney is going to be in abingdon because they won the reg. season. It looks good what you put. But I thought it was three team from River Ridge and Three from Piedmont and Four from SWD. Is this correct?

Yes it is a good thought, the list was before you beat Graham. The wins against GW and Carroll came before a lot of your injuries so I was thinking they would be hurt bad after that. After I saw the way GW beat you guys I was not sure what to think. I am going to post a new list at the end of the week. We will see how it comes out then.

Why did you play with 10 men for 40 minutes?

I guess there will be a coin toss for 3rd and 4th. Which will be big, If Carroll wins the toss then they may meet Marion in the semis and Marion has beat them 2 times. (3-2 OT and 2-1) If Carroll loses the coin toss then a possible meeting with Abingdon. Carroll has played them strong as well. (3-2 and 2-1) Graham has split with Marion and lost both times to Abingdon (not sure the scores). This might be the first year that Abingdon and Marion does not make it to the finals together. When I find out the coin flip I will post it. Good luck to all. I am not trying to over look Tazewell, Richlands, or Grundy any of these teams could mess all of this up.

That is a good point Dawgs86. By the way long time no talk, I hope you are doing well. To be truthful, I do not know much about them. I do believe that I might need to include Pluaski maybe somewhere on that list. They have beat at least two of the top 5 teams. What does everyone else think.

Most likely they were going to give the back up some good time during a district game. Zach will be leaving us after this year and we will have to replace the best goalie in the district with someone.

I was going off of records but after seeing Marion's troubles with injuries and with the big injury with Graham I will change my top four. 1. Abingdon 2. Carroll (beat Graham 4-1 at East River, Lost to Marion 3-2(OT) and 2-1 also played Abingdon strong at CC 3-2) 3. Graham 4. Marion 5. Tazewell 6/7 Richlands/Grundy

the VHSL rule on field size is 80 to 120 yards long by 50 to 80 yards wide. As for GW's attack, The attack against Marion the other day was by far the best I have seen this year. For the most part there was no complaining about the calls they just played soccer. GW does not have better players then Marion. The two teams are just headed in different directions. GW is playing well and looks good as a team. Marion has injuries on top of injuries. I hate it for them because their program has a good history, but do not worry they will be back. Also the goalie from GW almost kicked it 70 yards in the air and made an assist with that kick. It was a awesome play. We will see in Regions if Atwell makes a difference.

I believe they play better without atwell and they play better when they are not complaining about the refs. They played well last night and you could tell the injuries hurt Marion a lot. Good Luck on the rest of the season.

I was at the game and I believe it was not that bad. The only questionable thing was at the end of the game when the carroll team crashed the goal and they got to the ball the same time as the keeper. The ref called a foul but seem to not know who to give a card to. Besides that I believe it was a well played game for both teams. I only wish people would realize that soccer is a contact sport and you are going to get hit or pushed so get over it and play the game. By the way Shroom it is spelled CARROLL.

You are thinking of his brother Sergio Moreno which graduated a couple years back and Uli is a Junior.
