  1. But if he is that good to get an offer from Wake Forest 4 days after signing day and he starts both ways and plays and important postion like QB he should be able to impact the game enough to win more than 1 game espcially since they play a weak schedule.
  2. If Muncy is so good than why did Tazewell go 1-9 and barely beat grundy?
  3. Butlers QB is going to Illinois, they have a WR that is more than likely going to VT but he also has an offer from Illinois and Appy State, a CB that is committed to Notre Dame, a S that is a 4 star that can go about anywhere he wants and they have a CB that is committed to VT but is out for the season with a torn ACL he had before the year. They deff. have plenty of talent and alot of potential college stars.
  4. No im sick of people coming on here with no respect to other sports.
  5. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I've seen a goalie get his bottom teeth knocked THROUGH his upper lip... another kid break his leg in half...numerous other fractures breaks and concussions...so please don't tell me that soccer is not a contact sport [/ QUOTE ] Well, I've seen a guy get punched in the mouth over a game of checkers but that doesn't make checkers a "contact sport". Soccer, by rule, is a "non-contact" sport...collisions will and do occur but they are not an "intregal part" of the game. Most contact is "penalized" by the officials. With football, as in rugby, contact is a "requirement" in order for the game to be played as it was meant to be played. So, no, soccer is not a contact sport... [/ QUOTE ] Dear Jeff, Your an ignorant red neck cunt. What rule in the FIFA laws of the game states soccer is a non-contact sport? Ive never seen that rule. Your ignorant because you have never seen a real football match. Watch an English match you'll get all the contact you want minus the pads. None of us come on the football fourm and say all football players are pussys because they wear pads and helments. Do us a favor and just stay in your own little area. I have a good feeling this will be my last post haha.
  6. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] but did eric never make bad passes? if im not mistaken, last year beaver tried their best to stay away from the pass unless it was a streak to matthew carter, bubble to JT, or made ansel go up and make a play on his own. and he made bad passes too [/ QUOTE ] Ofcourse we tried to stay away from the pass, are you kidding me man? We have JT Powell, Shawn Brooks, Allen Carter in the backfield. Why would you need to pass? This isint '05 D.K.... Its not even about who's got more money, Who can throw the ball 5 yards farther or about who freezes up when a Linebacker gets within 5 yards of tackling them Its simply about right and wrong, and taking McClanahan out of QB after 2 whole years was just wrong. It will comeback to bite bluefield right in the butt Mark my words on this day September 8th 2007. [/ QUOTE ] I think we all understand you and Eric are friends. Just because Eric has been there 2 years he should keep his starting position. Quit your bitching. Just because you sit in the stands at every game dosent mean you know all the angles. Maybe Will is also a better leader, better student, etc. Maybe Coach Simon is looking for some more than just an athlete.
  7. [ QUOTE ] You're saying that Graham players helped win us the game Friday? Will Cole probply cost us 2 touchdowns more than anything. [/ QUOTE ] Will Cole also had a pass dropped in the endzone and a few other catchable passes dropped. Just because you and Eric are buddy buddy dosent mean you have to talk pure [censored] about Will. I believe Coach Simon will make the decision on who the better QB is. Lets leave that up to him.
  8. [ QUOTE ] For all the will cole haters out there, he may not have had a stellar night, but 11-20, 118yds, 1TD is pretty darn good. And he's building confidence. He's gonna be fine and get better and better. How much pressure was it to be playing qb for beaver after being qb for graham, and being crucified by the public on both sides. he's a good kid. [/ QUOTE ] Agreed he easily could've had 3TD passes. Ansel dropped the ball big time on that pass at the end of the 4th and then in the first half another player dropped it in the endzone. I think the pressure is off a little and he can really start to play to his potential.
  9. Yea but say the coach only lets the back run 5 times a game. You would hardly get to see if the back had any potential. So blame who you want to. The G-Men will be fine next year and that is because you dont need a good QB to say hut take a step back and hand the ball off.
  10. Very true. Torres is still fairly young if im not mistaken and prob has a little more life in him than Henry. But then again 30 isnt all that old anymore. Who knows. Barca should run away with the Spanish League.
  11. Hard to believe Fernando Torres is worth almost 2 times what Henry is.
  12. Why do you think Will ran more this season? Maybe because he was avoiding forcing throws. Will started going to Graham in 4th grade so no he really isnt a Bluefield product. However he was best friends with Ansel and Isiah when he went to Memorial Elementary. I would hardly say Will has a lack of commitment. You wouldnt know a thing about Will and his so called "lack of commitment". Will wants to throw the ball more and i think we'll be seeing alot of that this season. You cant throw 5-7 times a game and expect 100 percent of them to be right on the money. This atleast gives Will an opportunity to see what he can do.
  13. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] 10+ interceptions had something to do with the sincere change of mind... lets just say that his potential wasn't reached, and though you can't say he is a disappointment, cause its still just a kid, most graham fans could probably agree that his playing was a disappointment from the way he made things happen his freshman year. [/ QUOTE ] Honestly, could the fact that many of Graham's passing plays were poorly conceived have anything to do with the 10 interceptions? Most of Graham's passing routes were with a single man running a route against double or more coverage and Cole forced to "chuck it" to that man to avoid being sacked. Bluefield's QBs used to have more INTs than TDs in most seasons because they ran the same type of "passing plays." If Cole plays at Bluefield this season everyone will get a chance to see his passing ability in a well conceived passing attack. Bluefield will pass the ball much more than Graham, having many more receivers running routes with the likes of Ponder, Manns, Patterson, Lilly, Casey, Brooks, Hunt, etc. We'll all find out about his passing ability... [/ QUOTE ] A good QB wouldn't force throws into double coverage... [/ QUOTE ] So a good QB would just take the sack instead of forcing a throw?
  14. Yea just like Zach Cline and Taylor Lindsey made the state team also ha.....Landon starts on the premier Roanoke Stars Team by the way. I dont agree with the rules that every region gets 4 in the state it is bs. But say the rules were the best players make the team Landon would've still made state HM. Oh and dude just change your name to region 3 fan no one is gonna care.
  15. [ QUOTE ] You can not say that about this coach. Landon is a great player and he has earned the all state. This is the first year in a long time that the all district teams came out right. TJ was POY hands down. [/ QUOTE ] I agree. I dont think any other player in the district played as well as TJ and Landon deserved what he got. Landon was the most skilled player on our team this year.
