Graham usually is quick, but overall I'd still say Mount View and Bluefield will both be faster.

If Grundy was interested in an out of state opponent and had either 09/08 or 09/22 open they might could get a game with Mount View.

Just wondering what your thoughts would be on MV and Bluefield playing twice this year with both teams having problems getting 10 games and both are open on 09/08/2006? MV would've had 10 games had Big Creek not dropped football for it's last year of existence or Chapmanville,Shady Spring, and Logan not dropped us.

Mount View is the consolidation of 3 schools, Gary,Welch, and Northfork, but even with all that the town of Bluefield is bigger than those 3 towns combined lol. Bluefield has a higher enrollment as well, alot of that do to people from Welch and the surrounding areas have moved away over the years due to a lack of job availability. MV was once a AAA school just like Bluefield and maybe some time in the future they will both return there with all of the jobs and opportunities that could possibly come this way.

Bluefield does have alot of talented kids, but to say they have more than any other school is a little off. You may think this is funny or whatever, but Mount View has as much talent or more, the only difference is that Bluefield has a coaching staff that knows how to control their players and teach them discipline, where as MV has always been known as an undisciplined team. I think if MV ever had a coach that wouldn't compromise his own beliefs such as sitting a player for missing practice then MV could be just as good as the beavers. No doubt about it Bluefield has a great football tradition that would be tough for anyone overlook.

George Simons is notorious for bad officiating especially when MT.View is involved in the game he's officiating, he hates Mt.View.Iaeger use to have him and his crew officiate their home games against MV because they knew he would help them keep the games close.I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the number of bad or late flags he's thrown after MV would break a big play for a td against Iaeger in Iaeger over the years lol.

If you would've read the article in the paper carefully Hillbilly you would've noticed the kid never said one derogatory statement about any school. Yes he was a bit cocky on his and his teammates talents but when he said they would just to have to keep scoring and show no mercy that's what the players on any team try to do to any team they face. Coaches are the ones who decide to call off the dogs. As for Mavsgrad James Monroe has fooled themselves year after year by going undefeated or losing 1 game only to get beat each year almost in the first round every time. You guys do play Bluefield but we all know the only reason is because of the crowd that the game brings = $$$$$. If you played them because of the competition you would add some more competitive teams on that schedule with bluefield such as MV maybe Wayne,Herbert Hoover, or even Weir. MV will play anyone in AA as long as they will agree to a home and home series. One other thing just because you don't like something someone says or agree with it doesn't make them an idiot. Just give your view of what's said without name calling and ost people will respect you.

It's been a while but I'm kind of in the dark on how good MV will be because I don't live in welch any more I spent all of last year in Bluefield and now I'm in Virginia so I haven't been able to keep up with MV.

I haven't been online in so long, but noticed you had talked about how good Mount View could possibly be this year on this board and Tristate Preps, but I'm wondering if you've noticed that 1 of MV's best players from last year Corderro High isn't on the team from what I've been told and have read. The kid is only a sophmore this year and he was the reason the one who ran all over bluefield in Welch last year. In fact almost returned the kickoff at the end of the game if had not been for a shoestring tackle by the kid that transferred back to bluefield from Princeton.

I haven't been online in a while and was just wondering if the Bluefield paper has put out the high school preview yet?
